Now that we have Dragon/Baron timers, why can't we see the gold lead?
Question. ^
Knowing when the enemy team did dragon or baron IS supposed to be the reason we don't have the teams' gold totals shown in game, isn't it?

There's no need to make the game that simple. Dragon and baron timers were already dumbed down enough no need to add more information for free.
Said information is already 'free', to say so. You know their CS, their kills and assists, and their dragons and barons. With a bit of math you can get a somewhat accurate representation of their gold. It wouldn't hurt to have it on display when it's already an available information.
