You want to know why Shen is at 47% win rate in top lane?

Could it be that his Q only deals so much?

Could it be that his W doesn't shield him all that much?

Could it be that his E doesn't deal damage to minions?

Could it be that his ultimate (that deals no damage) is on the longest cool down ever?

Could it be that his passive doesn't refund enough in late game?

Could it be that he doesn't scale MR?

I don't know, but its very hard to understand why Shen hasn't received a buff since his E went from 120 to 100 and yet he's still under 50%.

I don't care if a champion is in a 50–60% win rate. I'll live if Jinx or Zed or even Le Blanc are in there but I have it a hard time trying to realize these things.

His shield, shields nothing as it is too easy to by-pass. Please raise it from from 60/100/140/180/220 to 60/110/160/210/260.

Please allow his E to deal damage to minions. It will just deal 3/5 of the original damage; it will deal 30/51/72/93/114 damage and still reduce the minions damage and taunt them as well.

Please also allow one last thing to Shen's ultimate. As a tank, he needs some form of sustain. If you can, please allow it to passively give Shen a very small shield. It will just be 1/5 of the ultimates shield value; giving Shen a 50/110/170 (+27% AP) worth of a shield. The shield will be almost permanently there but when used up, Shen must wait 20/15/10 seconds for it to reappear. The passive shield will stay on Shen for the duration of the R's activation and will allow him to teleport easier but will disappear until the ultimate is usable again.

The reasons for these buffs is that Shen's W should be able to block more in late game, Shen also has no wave clear so giving him this will help a little for early game (it can also work on monsters but it's also just 3/5 of the damage), and since his ultimate does nothing for Shen except put him in the midst of battle and deals no damage this buff might help Shen with ganks and other things.

Shen loses lane, but wins games - fact. The problem with this is: Shen doesn't have the power to carry, he just has the power to enable OTHERS to carry so if your team is balls, Shen is neutered (/giggity)

I dislike how powerful that shield is, I really do. It's like a Malphite passive. I'd say give the initial few buffs first and see what happens, but leave the shield out.

47% is fine. Even Sejuani and Gragas are below 57ish.

The problem is that Shen is so incredibly low impact at all points in the game. For one giant reason.

His ult.

As long as his ult has as much power as it does, Riot isnt going to give him any significant buffs, lest we see what happened in season 1 and 2 happen again.

Winrate is not the sole metric for measuring champion strength.

he needs items to be effective, and there are super strong early game champions which will destroy him (riven, rumble, lissandra), and other tanks who can benefit from shens passiveness, like nasus and sion who just want to free farm. so that leaves shen as a decent team fighter but not much else.
