Is Me Being Squishy and Lack of Mobility Really Justify My Damage?

As an immobile squishy ADC with full items I dont feel nearly as impactful as a MasterYi Jax Irelia Darius Garen Yasuo or even a damn Singed I dont do nearly as much damage nor can I live long enough to do so. I'm just not understanding something if you have answers I would love to hear them.

You should not feel as impactful.

You are playing a second line support champion, and you are comparing your pick to a front line champion, or to a split pusher.

Because you chose to play a second line champion, your impact is always linked to some other guy clearing the path for you and as a result your impact is his impact. Whereas these champions are all built to pressure the other team either directly - by corralling them and making fights happen, or indirectly by pulling them around the map.

but I dont feel like I do ANYTHING lol i just feel like a tickle monster and everyone else is just a monster while they run around one shotting everyone I kinda feel pointless is what im getting at as an ADC you were most of the time the main source of DPS whats the point of DPS if everyone dies in 2 seconds. even yi is meant to be DPS but hes one shotting be as well.

that is also not correct.

ADCs were never the main source of DPS in soloQ. Despite the "carry is in the name" they were always a support class, and always out-damaged by everyone (there were some exemptions s.a. late game vayne).

ADCs were characterized not by having the most and bestest damage, but by having the ability to put damage on the same target that is being focused by the rest of the team, WHILE at the same time not getting hit by the same AOE. I.E. they are characterized by having reach enough to supplant their team's damage wherever their team decides.

I'd love to see the source of this? Because if they never intended for ADC's to be a damage oriented class, how about they give them higher bases and some real defensive options? :/

I see this and can't take a single word of what you're saying seriously.

You don't even play ADC's.

Omegalul

Marksmen (formerly "Carries") excel at dealing reliable sustained damage at range (usually through basic attacks) while constantly skirting the edge of danger. Although Marksmen have the ability to stay relatively safe by kiting their foes, they are very fragile and are extremely reliant on powerful item purchases to become true damage threats.

Where does it say they are supportive champions?

Did you really just call ADCs support champions and expect people to take your comment seriously?

yes and yes. Do you disagree? on what grounds?

I appreciate your assertion that you can just dismiss the idea off hand and 'laugh me out of the house'.

ADC: Attack Damage Carry. Not attack damage support (hello, Pyke ). Their job is to do damage, not support the team. Some can be supportive, yes. Ashe is very utility heavy with her perma-slow, but if the team is protecting their ADC properly, they're meant to be the heavy, consistent damage dealers on the team. I absolutely can laugh you off, because you don't even understand how the role of ADC works.

imho you do not understand what carrying means or what supporting means or that a title and a function can be disconnected.

TL;DR: dealing damage is the supportive action, if the dealing of the damage is conditioned on previous action by another character. which is how it is for ADCs most of the time due to their lack of ability to survive against their target.
