ok but anytime people play in norms people dont fucking care, AT ALL. Norms is actually the worst experience a dedicated ranked player can have. It's full of premades, 0 communication, bad players hmm.. what else. No teamwork, 0 shotcalling potential as a solo player. If you lock people out of playing champs in a serious environment you'll be stuck playing in a horrible environment where you dont learn anything. Norms is for careless premades, ranked is for people who want to play better on their own.

Kloqdq2 votesI mean you could do what say Paladins does where you level up Characters and once they are a certain level, you can take them into rank.
Not a perfect solution but it does prevent people from first timing a champion in ranked with no experience what so ever.
EkyonKun1 votesI feel like Champion Trading might hinder this idea. My only thought is maybe be able to swap pick order, so the person who wants to secure a champion can do so without trading the champion itself.
Another issue is now you need to have adept experience at 20+ champions to play ranked, when most people stick to just a few. Maybe 5-10 or so.
Not trying to say it's a BAD idea to disallow someone first timing Ryze in your promos, just some things to keep in mind.
