With queue times this high, maybe its time to throw in the towel?

Riot has failed to get people to play the support role. Not enough people will voluntarily do it.

For most people, supporting simply isn't fun. No matter what, we just don't seem to have a fifth of he playerbase queuing as supporting. In fact, we dont even get 10% of the playerbase.

Queue times are getting longer and the worst is waiting 5 minutes in queue and then not getting to have fun for 20 minutes because i have to play a role that ISNT fun for the sake of my team.

Maybe its time, and im serious about this, that you just introduced a 4v4 game mode on the rift. Everything the same, just one less person on each team.

When league was in early development it was a 4v4 game. Maybe it should have stayed that way. Yes i know some people like supporting, maybe some people like the idea of a 5v5 more. But for the future of the game maybe its just best to have a 4v4 game mode so we can actually get into games.

Because for what 4 seasons now you've tried to make the support role fun and appealing, and have failed. And it has been sucking the fun out of the game ever since the botlane meta was established.

I don't agree with this idea. Support is one of the most important roles in the game behind Jungle and Mid. The reason why people don't play it is because the role itself doesn't feel rewarding by a fun perspective. If you play that role it is actually very rewarding right now for winning, but if you care less about winning but more about interactive gameplay, then it won't be a very interesting role to pick.

Selfish players need to adapt and deal with it or stop playing. It's that simple. Stop whining and bitching about it and do it or stay the "F" out of league and go play something that massages your entitled sense of self. Unwilling gamers are players that the gaming world don't need. You are useless except for spending money for the devs. That is the only reason they try and appease your sorry asses.

Lmao. You go man. Don't let anyone spoil your ideal world image and self righteous indignation overy how things should be with something like reality.

If people would stop simultaneously dumping on supports and dumping any ideas to improve their gameplay, maybe we could get somewhere.

I love playing support. I know I know, I'm the only one. It's just like any other role though. Find a support you like and that suits you and play to their strengths. In fact, I have about 6 I enjoy playing. You don't have to play Janna. Blitz is one of the most fun champs in the game in my opinion.

I love playing Support.

I just wish you didn't have to sacrifice as much as you do.

Your character feels like half the Champion (at best!) of those in other roles.

The problem with picking support is that the players that choose the other roles determine the outcome of the game, either through being really bad or through playing the match very well.... but mostly through being really bad. JUST BY PICKING SUPPORT you are putting yourself at a higher rate of losing. Too little power = Can't fill for the rest of my [retarded] team. 1v10 as support? You'd think that the support doing the best means your team is at the highest chance of winning.. but this is wrong because the rest of your team's gold progression isn't relative to yours.

So that shitter in champ select that has the role you want.. MOST LIKELY YEAH, no chance with that guy. Don't see me winning with him [ there ].

Making Rift 4v4 wouldn't remove Enchanters and Vanguards from the game. They would just need to be tuned to function is a solo lane or in the Jungle. Figured that would be worth pointing out.

As a support main that has barely touched ranked (but many, many normals), I have always been of the opinion that Solo Queue was counter intuitive for a supportive role. There is no voice chat function and there is no way you are going to type something in the couple seconds you see something that needs to be addressed. With enough practice, you can ping such emergencies, but these have limited functions and can easily be misread. But more importantly, arguing the validity of a ping can't happen.

I'm aware that Duo is allowed in Solo Queue. That also feels very counter intuitive. Why does it even exist? For supports to work better with a Duo ADC? Uh... isn't that by default admitting that Supports don't function optimally in a Solo Queue ladder?

I think if we want to really establish the difference between Flex Queue and Solo Queue, making Solo Queue a 4v4 game is reasonable. Flex Queue will be for those that want to win as a team while Solo Queue will be for those that want to win despite their team.

And that is purely my opinion on how it should be handled.

the problem why the queues are long and why we are auto-filled it's not supporting or some crap

it's that they are with an asinine stubborness hold for the flex queue which literally nobody likes

it's all the flex queue, it's it inflates the queue times and makes you auto-filled
