Maokai E cooldown decreased; damage increased early.

While this change is useful all-around, it'll especially help Maokai clear the jungle. E - Sapling Toss DAMAGE 6/6.5/7/7.5/8% target's max health ⇒ 7/7.25/7.5/7.75/8% target's max health COOLDOWN 11 seconds ⇒ 10 seconds

I don't play Mao in the jungle any more (apparently not many do with a 0.17% playrate) but were his seeds the key to good clearing? They're mana heavy with little damage. These changes don't seem like they'll move him above the 50% winrate, it seems he's currently at 46.81%.

What was the real goal here? And if it was to entire Mao jungle, doesn't it feel a little too weak? I also feel like this benefits him more in the Top/Support roles. There isn't a real brush to use at the crows or the wolves iirc. Increasing his mana regen in the jungle might have been a more targeted buff.

I’ve run jungle Maokai a few times. Gromp and Wolves are the only camps that suffer from lack of bush for the saplings. The bush at raptors is close enough to pull them over to trigger the sapling’s chase, and the saplings are what makes his raptors clear one of his better starts, either first of after Red/blue. I’m intrigued and look forward to giving it a try next patch.
