Sion passive still loses HP in Bard ultimate

Just kinda makes me sad to see that little HP bar tick down while "invulnerable." I imagine the same also happens in Zhonya's (unless you can't use active items).

That's intended.

As was stated in the Q&A when Bard was on PBE, timers continue to count down during bard ult. All it does is make you invulnerable....which means you can't be targeted and AOE spells don't effect you.

Cooldowns still go down, things like swain ult will continue to function, and so on. Sions ult is effectively a timer that counts down with your health. You can extend the timer by gaining more health, but when you're invulnerable you aren't able to hit things so the countdown continues as per usual.

What used to be really amusing was building a Sword of the Divine, and then popping it after you die so you can kick everyone to death.

Don't think of as a life bar, think of it as a timer that is extended by auto attacks. No auto attacks in a time bubble!

What, did you just watch jaynees video too? I saw this like 5 minutes ago.

Considering he is in a state of invulnerability I would say that he should not lose health. That too makes me sad. I mean that just means a Bard on your team could accidentally, or purposely, hit Sion with his ult and completely ruin the point of Sion's passive.

It makes you invulnerable from enemy actions like Ignite, but this is a self imposed health loss. Its not the same thing at all especially in coding.

Could just be how the ability is coded; invulnerability "Reduces damage taken to 0", but Sion's passive might not be considered 'damage' in that sense, instead is simply "lost health" but is not from a hostile source.

You can use active items, I've done it but this is a different story when Bard gets an easy solution to Sion considering how many things his ults do and how difficult it is supposed to be; granted it's long range.

Tis a nice day1 votes

There are a ton of solutions against Sion's passive from CC to knockbacks to flat out massive damages. Bard's ult simply has a slightly unexpected result against Sion.

Swain can gain health from his ult while being hit by bards ult.

he can do the same thing with zhonas.

I just got screwed the other day by a bard trying to "help" because of this very phenomena.

Mundo still heals from his ult while in Zonhya's, too. Goes both ways.

You are able to use items while in sion passive mode. If you ever feel like it, grab a Righteous Glory, Youmuu's Ghostblade, and a Randuin's Omen and laugh whenever you die and get a double. (also grab a BOTRK if you lookin for ultimate kek)
