No, this wasn't in a 1v1. This was in a teamfight. He lasted far longer than I did, despite both of us getting focused and being frontline. And of course he can deal BPS.
Because bruisers are supposed to build damage items with a bit of tanky stats NOT FULL TANK. Juggernauts are the closest you can get to having a bruiser build full tank but they still need like 2 to 3 damage items.
Because Sylas is (once again) massively overtuned
That Trundle has no damage items and thus isn't actually building bruiser. Sylas' build was simply superior. Trundle's Spirit Visage and innate healing is shat on by Morellonomicon while the Sylas is free to heal half his lifebar against Trundle. Besides, Trundle's ult is more useful on tanky targets. Sylas didn't build tanky, Trundle did. If Sylas took Trundle's ult, Trundle doomed himself by even attempting to fight.
Probably because he was lvl 18 with 4 complete items (including 2 AP/health items) vs the lvl 16 jungler with only 2 (both of which are tank items).
You could've at least gotten

Cinder provides for some pretty good AoE damage early game but you aren't going to 100-0 someone with it.
Because Riot admittedly overtuned the tankiness he gets from his spells (the shield and heal), because "he is an AP bruiser, but there are no items to support his playstyle".
Basically, since there are no AP bruiser items, every AP bruiser they are designing now will get an overtuned kit by default to make up for it. Unfortunately, this will keep staying like this until they finally decide to create new items specifically for this gameplay.
Because Sylas's Ult is broken.
Trundle's Ult scales with AP, and the % Max Health bonus works better against Trundle than Sylas.
Trundle has more Health, so takes more damage. Sylas has more AP so deals more %Max Health Damage.
Add these two factors together, and Sylas Ulting Trundle is way more OP than Trundle Ulting Sylas.
But I agree Sylas is an issue because of this. I hate when he takes my Rammus Ult.. Rammus don't build AP and watching Sylas melt shit with an ability that isn't supposed to be a damage tool is just crazy.
