Can we please make it so people with primary roles have to pick first?

In old queue, picking early was an advantage as you got your preferred role.

In new queue, picking first is definitely a disadvantage. You don't get a ban. You are assigned your role and can easily be counterpicked.

Yet for some reason, I often get my secondary role together with 1st or 2nd pick. I also often get my primary role together with 4th or 5th pick.

My primary role is my primary because it's where I'm comfortable. Throw any counterpick you want at me, I can handle it pretty well. Sure, I might not love playing that lane, but I can do reasonably so as to stay in the game.

My secondary role, however, is my secondary because I'm weaker in it. I have fewer champions in that role. I haven't played them as often. I haven't played the matchups as often. I have counterpicks that I don't really know how to deal with all too well.

So what happens when I get my secondary together with a 1st or 2nd pick? I often get counterpicked and do pretty poorly. Meanwhile, if I was a late pick I could have chosen a different champion. I could have banned the champion I expected to have the most trouble with. If I had my primary, I would have been fine with the early pick.

So, is there any reason why it isn't defaulted such that everyone who gets their primary role is put in the pick order before anyone who is in their secondary role?

On a side note: Why can't we just trade draft spots with our teammates? I'll gladly take an early pick whenever I get my primary. I'll quickly give up my early pick if I have my secondary (even if I don't get the ban in return!).
