Why doesn't League support community-made custom games?

DOTA 2 allows its playerbase to build their own custom games, as does Warcraft 3, Fortnite, Overwatch, Rivals of Aether, Smash (to an extent), DOOM and more.

Why is it acceptable that League remains the ONLY mainstream game to not allow the player to play the game how they want to? We legitimately only have one gamemode, being standard 5v5. Sure, ARAM counts, but it's still just regular old 5v5.

What happened to Nexus Blitz being a permanent other gamemode? What happened to rotational gamemodes actually being on a proper rotation? What happened to the Crystal Scar?

These are all questions that I ask myself every day when it comes to League, and I'm sure many of you guys on the boards do as well, especially if you're sick of standard 5v5 games. It's at this point where Riot should just allow players to make their own maps, their own rules and their own experience. Hell, they could even go the Blizzard route and take ownership of all players' creations if that's what it takes to make this happen.

Please, just please can we have some creative freedom with how we want to play the game, because standard 5v5 games feel atrocious to play, especially in repetition.

Probably because League's engine is held together with nothing more than duct tape and spaghetti code which is why they have to extensively test modes every time champs get changed or some bullshit like that.

It's sad though because other MOBAs have so much more variety. It's funny how DotA has so many more game modes over LoL with a minuscule player base.

Because they know the game is so unbalanced they don't want us to realise it by implementing better games in a week.

Splits the playerbase is the standard reason/excuse.

Don’t know if you are a new player but ARAM was custom game once. Lot of players were making custom games for ARAM and that type of game become so popular that Riot decided to make gamemode out of it. So ARAM is one of rare things that players wanted and created in LoL.

Man. I just realized if we had custom games we could have a mode with no marksmen. Holy hell I would love this game.

Because then nobody would play the normal modes because of how garbage the game is.

This is why ARAM population is on the rise, and fun game modes are why you see a massive spike in players when they're active then it dies off again.
