Re-integrate sightstone into the game

We need more vision...an idea i had would be to re add sightstone to the game and create a line of sightstone upgrades available to all champs, an example of these could be Jeweled-Eye Orb 450 health 30 Ability power + 1 more per CS, capped at 90 (60 can be gained) Unique passive - Sight runner: gain 5% movement speed when near allied wards, increased to 25% for 2 seconds after placing a ward Unique Active - Sightstone: Same active as old sightstone with 1 more ward

Glass-Eye platemail 450 health 25 magic resistance + 1 more per CS, capped at 85 (60 can be gained) Unique passive - Sight defender: Gain 15% increased armor and magic resistance while near an allied ward Unique Active - Sightstone: Same active as old sightstone with 1 more ward

Demon-Eye Blade 450 health 15 Attack damage + 1 more per CS, capped at 75 (60 Can be gained) Unique passive - Sight runner: gain 5% movement speed when near allied wards, increased to 25% for 2 seconds after placing a ward Unique Active - Sightstone: Same active as old sightstone with 1 more ward

All items would most likely be in the cheaper range, (think like 2500-2800 gold area) and would be used to gain vision advantage around the map, meaning you could build these items or go for your core items...but either way they could make effective secondary or 3rd item builds to gain vision advantage

Sightstone already is in the game.

Wardspam meta with the hour-long games where nothing happened is not particularly fun either, and this would take it a step further.

removing damn near every form of warding was not the way to fix it...we literally only have control wards and the shitty trinket

And the support item with 4 wards on it.

Not to mention you can take Ingenious Hunter and get -15% CDR on your trinket which ends up being like 8-10 seconds per charge. 2 extra wards 20 seconds faster is MASSIVE especially if two or more players go Domination

-15% CDR

Way more than that, the rune is crazy.

I loved Sightstone, but I don't know if it should be in the game again.

I hate the new quest system though.

The reason Sightstone was removed because it was too good.

Solo laners in pro play were building it. Anybody that argues that the new vision items are worth it when fully upgraded is kidding themselves. Ruby Sightstone gave +500 health and 20% CD on all active ability items. The new support items can't hold a candle to that. Supports rarely fully upgrade their vision item anymore.

Riot's philosophy is that you can't make support items too good otherwise they begin to be "abused" in other lanes. So instead of taking time to address this fundamental issue, they make changes so that such items are unappealing to solo laners.

They made bot lane so volatile when they instituted the changes because Sightstone was the gate that kept mage supports in check. They had to make a choice between safety or immediately buying AP, and now they get both. The other support who was a non-mage would almost always grab Sightstone first which granted +150 health. Mages are so oppressive bot lane now as a result, and that needs to be addressed. We're even starting to see duo mages bot.

Vision is still so important though. Sometimes games are won and lost based solely on someone other than the support willing to spend 75 gold on a control ward.

tbh right now tank supports are the only ones punished in income if they don't fully upgrade their item. it sucks because ap and enchanter supports income is maxed out at stage 2 instead of 3

I don't know about you but I don't want to go back to everything being warded up constantly, it just wasn't that good. I wish that you didn't have such a hard cap on wards as a support though, like fully upgrading the item=+1 ward
