I'm extremely irritated at the fact that every time I head top, I get my ass ripped open by Ryze. Time to remove that MR shred that he has for no reason. He's easy to play faceroll champ. Nerf this son of a gun

Hell, he has no escapes either, so ganks are highly effective.

if they have 2 gapclosers, one to get close, second to get close after his w ends
ryze despite being a weak mage, is actualy insanely abussive toplane, toplaners cant realy trade with him because all he does is disengaging and farming, his items naturaly counter toplaners and he outsceles them
i think that gnar would work, ryze has low sustain so bomerangs would hurt him, besides that jayce could do it early but later he would have a hard time
some other guy said that lane swap could be good but its also a bad idea, some toplaners just cant deal with ranged champions so they can faill on mid, while some midlarens are easy to gank on toplane (midle is the safest lane) so enemy jungler might make that ryze fed as fk
