So Riot, will you ever explain this to me?

So, for months now, since I started playing this game (June of 2015), I've been asking you one, simple question: Do you actually believe this game is balanced, and if so, how? Yet, you've never replied.

I just want to know how you justify targeted abilities and automatically-aimed, resourceless, unmissable attacks that automatically fire off more than a second being far, far stronger than any skillshots in the game. I even did the math a while ago, just a generic ADC with no passives or skills or anything vs. a Syndra's 5 ball ult rotation... Syndra won up until 2 seconds, and then the ADC just SMOKED her (I can't find the post though) -- but that was mid-game. Late game, the ADC wins period.

You talk about how much you hate balls of stats, but that's exactly what a good portion of the roster is, and exactly what ADCs are. So, please, tell me your reasoning behind it all. Do you honestly believe the game is balanced, or is our wonderful Asian overlord Tencent dictating things to you and you just smile and put on a show?

you compare syndra to an adc. you know mages deal a big burst dmg with spells like right away, while adcs need several seconds of free fire to do damage right?

Actually, no. At full build, an ADC does more burst than Syndra (who was BUILT for burst) in exponential amounts -- regardless of the time. I can't find the post in my history, but I did a lot of number crunching a while ago, and the only time Syndra won was mid-game -- but even then, she only won by ~100 damage up until 2 seconds.

No game is 100% Balanced, and I never recalled Riot ever saying it was, that is why there are constant patch updates to the game (of course, they must be tested first in Beta before release to live servers).

Their are many factors and variables that would determine a 1v1 between an ADC and Syndra, such as gold income at the time, what type of items were bought, masteries and runes, etc... Normally, if an ADC gets hit with Syndra's 5 ball combo rotation (Q>E>W>Q>R (The standard rotation)), then most likely, if all things were equal and fair/normal, the ADC should be dead or very close to death, especially during the game as she would then have more items to increase her damage output. ADC don't generally have enough Magic Resistance to survive that burst combo, so that specific instance of when you saw the ADC "SMOKED" her in mid-game and straight up dominate her late game when she gets off her 5 ball combo, their are many factors and variables that would indicate the ADC being alive after that combo.

Sure, no game is perfect, but you can at least look like you try -- Riot obviously doesn't, though I don't know why. No, they never directly said that the game is balanced, but they say all the time that they "like where someone is," even if they're just vastly underperforming compared to other champs. They continually buff ADCs, the strongest class in the game, and continually nerf the more complex champs (Azir was dumpstered, Sol was nerfed a patch after release, and so on).

Well, since I play every role, I was going off of builds that I would use with the same gold income at the same time. I factored in levels, ratios, all that. At ~20 minutes, Syndra won up to ~2 seconds, but only by about 100 damage. At full build, the ADC just won as soon as they started autoing, and exponentially got ahead of Syndra. I need to find that post. >.>

I know an ADC would be dead from a 5-ball combo (though, these days, Maw / Sterak's prevent that), but I wasn't doing a 1v1. I was saying if they were both attacking a target that had 0 armor / MR and didn't die. Just to crunch numbers. And the ADC was just, by far, the stronger of the two, despite doing nothing more than right-clicking and going AFK.

The fact that they like where a champion is and it is what they define as balanced/fair, and where you see them as under-performing, is a representation of how they believe that the champions that are over-performing are imbalanced, so I do agree with you that the game is unbalanced, but they do care about trying to maintain the entirety of the game relatively balanced.

They continually buff ADCs, the strongest class in the game, and continually nerf the more complex champs (Azir was dumpstered, Sol was nerfed a patch after release, and so on).

ADCs are buffed and nerfed based on how they are performing and what was expected of their performance, not always buffed (as seen from latest patch). When you say ADCs are the strongest class in the game, that depends on what you define as strong, as "strong" can be interpreted in many ways, such as dps (which I assume you mean and I agree that they are strongest in dps), burst, mobility, survive-ability, and so on.

In terms of dps, it's obvious that the ADC would best Syndra, and would kill the target faster by right-clicking, as most ADCs are auto-attack reliant. Your test would need to depend on who your target is, as even if it was possible to have a target that had no natural resistances, the amount of health the target has is very important, as Syndra does burst damage. You also have to remember that the 5 ball combo is more than just a damage combination for Syndra to do her reliable burst damage, it also provides the target cc, in forms of E stun and W slow, which would prevent her target from retaliating when hit, unlike an ADC that just auto-attacks.

They admit it's not balanced, watch LCS. Numerous Riot employees have mentioned there are issues. Granted, everyone has the same option as far as banning/selecting champs.

This season has been the worst for balance, a lot of changes went into effect, it's an evolution. I'm not impressed, I hope they get on top of it soon, but time tells.

People you hear durning LCS aren't direct Riot employees, as say, Meddler is.

Whatever they say has no relevance to Riot's actual view on the game.
