Players Should Stop Expecting Turrets to Defend Them
Turrets are not in place to defend the players. That is not their job. Turrets are an objective and it is the players' job to defend their turrets against the enemy players while trying to overcome the enemies' defenses in order to destroy their turrets.
Turrets are not your guardian. You are the guardian of your turrets. You protect them, not vice versa. This is why dying under turrets is a thing. It is a calculated risk. It does not always pay off, but the turret is not going to be your savior. That's not what it is there to do.
Stop pretending that turrets are anything other than objective points so that maybe the circle jerk of "turrets suck" can finally end as players realize once and for all that turrets are meant to be defended and not meant as actual defenses.
