Typing ALOT - is toxic? What in the actual. . .

Telling some idiot jungler to get out of the jungle and actually gank. Telling some idiot top laner to stop inting. Telling some idiot support to stop standing on top of me so we both don't get CC'd? Telling mid his pick is an obvious troll pick (entire team adc etc). Telling adc to literally stop split pushing.

This game has a lot of people that OBVIOUSLY don't know how to play the game; and experienced players can't even tell them how to play. Because I guess this is toxic.

I swear every single major thread that gets upvotes about this topic - is instantly removed, every, single, time.

Matchmaking? removed. Skins over game balance? removed. Players soft inting? removed.

no typing a lot isnt toxic.

calling your teammates trolls and idiots is toxic.

Toxic is an overused word that at this point just means "you're doing something I don't like". It's a buzzword. It's kinda useless.

How about this instead? Screw toxic. Play polite and sportsmanlike. Is it polite to call your teammates trolls or useless? No. It's also counterproductive. Nothing makes a player tilt faster than doing badly AND getting shamed by the people on their team over it. Is telling your team that they're inting (Another overused word people never use properly) polite? No.

And harassing the enemy team at all? By trash talk or just the ever-popular "gg ez" BS people throw around... is that sportsmanlike? No. It's being a smug dick and rude.

So maybe don't do it. Now I will admit, there are PLENTY of people in this game so used to hearing their teammates flame them over every little thing that even a non-rude bit of advice can get them raging and convinced you're talking down to them. There isn't a good answer. Top tower dives and dies... and you say "Hey man, play safe and farm under tower". A well meaning bit of advice for someone who's now behind. Not insulting or rude. And your teammate will blow up anyway, because 99% of the time when chat is used in this game it's to mock, belittle or trash talk people. And then BAM... tilted anyway, despite you honestly desiring only to say something helpful.

So I'd say just.... mute everyone. Always. it's not a perfect solution... but it's all you can do.

The way you refer to your team as 'idiot', makes me think that what you would write in game would indeed be very toxic.

Also, what a lot of people don't seem to get, is that there's a difference between commanding someone and asking someone to do something. If someone commands me to stop doing something, I'm not likely to stop doing it. If someone asks me to stop doing something and gives a decent reason to stop doing it (decent as in an actual reason that will help us win the game), I'll probably listen to it.

If you actually think flaming your teammate will make them play better, you're kinda dumb. If you spam ping me and tell me to gank your lane, chances are I'll ignore your lane even further out of spite.

"stop inting" oh ,yeah. You know how this game works....

Actually, even without being toxic, one may be penalized for excessive chat if reported and judged to be critical and complaining. Or possibly even if there are just sufficient messages that reviewer may determine more attention was paid to chat than the match.

As mentioned elsewhere, if previously banned then even a relatively small amount text combined with a report will result in further punishment.

Realtalk: The person who talks most is usually the one in the wrong, because they feel a need to 'defend' themselves or 'attack' others. When it comes to in-game chats, you can almost always - and im talking 90% accuracy here - tell who the toxic one in the conversation is by how much of the chat theyre dominating.

In other chats, like twitch for example, dominating the chat can be seen by many as not letting others speak which is rude.

it gets removed because your obviously toxic..

I do not know what makes you think you are gods gift to LoL... but you do not get to tell other people how to play. Especially in a derogatory manor
