I found it excessively weird that assassin items are getting nerfed.

Two of the best junglers are AP (Ekko and Elise). Besides Zed (and Yasuo), all of the strong mid laners are AP champions. Zed doesn't really see competitive play (his stats also drop off a fuck ton after you hit Masters+ from Diamond+). 3 of the best top laners (Kayle, Vlad, Kennen) are AP and two of negate interaction top lane. (Klepto is being removed, so Kayle is getting nerfed already.)

Aside from Kha'zix and Shaco jungle (with occasional Rengar), AD assassins don't see play.

So why are AD assassin items getting omega nerfed? Why is Edge of Night turning from "kinda bad but decent" into "garbage item, don't buy"?

Why are AP items still untouched when they're so much more represented for being more powerful?

and for bonus points: Why the fuck are Kai'sa and Xayah not getting substantial nerfs when they've been meta since each of their respective releases?

Lethality is getting reworked. The devs want assassins to have a sharper mid-game power spike, taking power from Serrated Dirk and adding it into completing two lethality items. Assassins will have a worse early game, but a terrifying mid-game where their items are stronger then before.

Kai'sa is getting demolished next patch, EoN is getting fixed and turned into a good item.

Why is the Lethality hydra being deleted though I have no fucking clue. otherwise assassins are getting gigabuffed
