I used to think fizz had to carefully choose to use his troll poll for engage or escape.
with 4.4 sec cd, he can use it to engage, then after a few sec, use it again to disengage.. oh and then re-engage-disengage rinse repeat.
Theres not enough windows for counterplay.

45% CDR Fizz isnt that good. The only thing to notice is the R cooldown. His E is the same with 40/45% no gameplay change.

Fisherman Fízz7 votesThe 4.4/4.8 seconds on his E is rounded up to 5 seconds actually. Fizz came out over 4 years ago and the E cooldown was never changed. Also you can't really rush 40% CDR early with the new itemization, so its more of a lategame thing now.

This is just wrong. It's a 4.4 or 4.8 second CD. It's not fucking rounded. It might be rounded on to tooltip but the actual cooldown doesn't work this way. If it did Karthus's Q would not benefit from CDR.
Also you can't really rush 40% CDR early with the new itemization, so its more of a lategame thing now.
It's much easier for Fizz to rush CDR. It's a legit strategy to run 10% CDR from runes, that's CDR blues and 1 quint or alternatively you can run 6 CDR/Level blues to get 10 CDR at 18.
Fizz's itemisation for CDR got improved though, since Sheen now gives CDR. Sheen+Morello's gives 30% CDR, Fizz can eaisily rush 40% CDR if he wants to without effecting his build-path too much.
so its more of a lategame thing now.

LankPants2 votesSheen losing its AP doen't make it a bad item to build though, going doulbe D-Ring into Sheen or Fiendish>Sheen is pretty good. Most pro players still rush Sheen, so it can't be that bad.

Because Sheen and Lichbane enables Fizz to be a champion instead of junk.

Three of those items have no AP. If you rush those, sure you'll get early cdr but you'll do such little damage it isn't worth it.

is far better as a rush item as it is more cost efficient 70AP+50MR and you could say "20magic pen" for 200 less than a morello, and gives you a way better laning phase than going CDR. I only get

as my CDR items so I have 20/25% CDR on a full build depending on whenever I get Precision or Intelligence for the 5% extra on masteries.

This isnt factoring in the utility gained from lower cooldowns.
For comparison lets say you spent 3200g on AP by buying a Rabadons Deathcap (which I know isnt 3200g its actually 3800g) giving you 162 AP.
Damage dealt in 10 seconds would be Q 70 + 35% AP W 90 + 75%AP X (Autos) E 270 + 75%AP R 450+ 100%AP Total - 790 + 90 X (Autos) + 210%AP + 75%AP X (Autos) = 1130 + (90 + 75%AP) X Autos))
Obviously with more AP you get more scaling damage however that matters little in the early mid game when AP values are lower and utility from abilities matter more.
