Should Garen's E use the CD-mechnics of Yasuo's Q?
In short: Yasuo's Q has it's cooldown reduced by attackspeed. Not cooldown reduction. Looking at the itemization options for AD champions this allows a much better build variety.

No, 40% CDR reduces all his cooldowns
Instead make it so that attack speed makes him do additional hits during the duration of the spin
Garen now having to rely on one more stat to power up his main ability? Annoying, but at least
would be better on him.
Garen really isn't about attack speed, as he is an AD caster. If his W or E also has some scaling with attack speed maybe, but if not this would be closer to a nerf than a buff.
Yasuo is an AD caster as well...

Yasuo is a melee adc. His Q is a longer range autoattack, his E is a dash to get more autoattacks, and his R is a lower damage nuke that refreshes his shield and gives him 50% bonus armor penetration, making his autoattackers even stronger.
Garen relies mostly on his E+Q for damage, with his ultimate as an execute and his autoattacks as just a bit extra.
Basically, if someone is ad and wants a lot of cooldown reduction, they are closer to a caster. If someone is ad and wants crits + AS, they are an adc or melee adc.
For a chap who's main core items would be
, I would say no. For a tank champ & someone who is unreliable for lifesteals, itemization that way would be harder for Garen.
Imagine garen's E applying on-hit xD

I know I'm going to get hate for this.
But I think the way of balancing Garen is removing his ability to crit on his spin and compensating elsewhere on his kit.
