"Champion X is not op because you can counterpick him"

Not naming any champion here. I'm just saying this is no valid excuse. Some people seem to think they actually can counterpick 5 champions each game. That's not how it works.

Sidenote: Not to mention that there are light - and hardcounters. Examples for counters. E.g.: Blitzcrank is good against Draven (light counter) While Heimerdinger has absolutely no chance against Azir (hardcounter)

You sure about that azir vs heimerdinger? Early on azir is mana hungry.

Heimer has no chance against Azir. Azir's units are invincible and have half (down to a third) of the cooldowns which Heimerdinger's turrets have. He can place his soldier on top of a turret and kill it without ever getting hit by it.

Azir does not even needs his Q, just needs a single point in W to completely destroy Heimerdinger's lane.

At level 6 Heimerdinger might be able to force Azir out of lane if he managed to land a full R+W (basically impossible). But Heimerdinger alone neither posses a killtreat, nor any chance to push against Azir.

you forget E slow/stun then R then W while Azir is a beast it can be managed

I'd say it's more likely to result in a frozen lane than anything. Heimer just sits under his tower and farms (not hard with his turrets) and Azir's soldiers don't last long near enemy towers.

That's like saying old Kassadin wasn't op cause Talon countered him.
