Trying to master Olaf, have run into an issue with laning against Tryndamere.

My last match, I went Olaf against Tryndamere. I made him back once early and got him low a couple times, but he seemed to just roll over me without a single care after he got zeal and greaves. How do I deal with him as Olaf? He seemed to outscale me so fast and just stopped giving a single fuck about me.

Something I noticed myself was that I probably should have rushed Thornmail or Randuins, rather than going for Sterak's. Sterak's base items are basically useless unless you can finish it fast, so it seems like something you definitely can not build when behind, which I did not realize until it was halfway through laning phase and I was just stuck with a shitty belt and longsword, then it hit me, though it should have been obvious. Whatever, it's a new item.

But beyond, any better tips?

Last time I played against Olaf as Trynd, he wrecked me, mostly by throwing axes through minion waves(didn't realize that could happen) and harassed me too much if I tried to cs

Should I max my Q or E first? I'd assume E as usual, but I can also see Q being an option due to the slow, and due to the fact that you usually don't want to get near trynd.

But yeh, Q or E against him?

Knowledge is power, man. Nowadays I do a rough google search for lane matchups because just knowing who counters who can put thigs in your favor even if you are at the disadvantage.Sometimes you may get luck y and get an opponent who dosnt realize they counter you and don't apply the appropriate pressure at the right time

If I recall corectly. You do indeed counter him. Poke him off the minion waves with your Q, and if he tries to last hit, give him an E to the face.

If he tries to all in you post 6, If I remember right, your ult will shrug off his mocking shout damage reduction and slow.
