Also she has plenty of counterplay, technically since building armor isn't counterplay then no adc actually has counterplay by this logic.
Vayne has no long range abilities and is given consistent damage by effectively reducing the cost effectiveness of your defensive items by some percentage ranging from 20-30%. For stupid people and baddies it might be more like 40% because stupid and bad scale multiplicatively with true damage.

most gapclosers are around 450-650 and 400-500 is the average unit gain when chasing based off my own experience, like with garen, voli, or mundo, without a slow you tend to get about that close.
Anyways, compared to what is needed to effectively kite without your team nearby vayne's range is extremely low and it only gets worse if you check out her alternatives.
If anything the biggest issue with vayne is that killing her requires some commitment. Normally this sounds ok but League of Legends is at times a very fast paced game where things die really fast and commitment is difficult at times for a lot of champs especially ones that aren't expected to do everything on their own like tanks

Vayne is harder to play successfully than any of the champions you regularly play except Lee Sin. She's certainly much more skill-intensive than Blitzcrank or Jhin.
She gets a big boy steroid on her W because she has no ability that extends her threat radius beyond her AA range, making her the shortest-ranged ADC in practical terms. Her damage is also completely single target-oriented, meaning that to be an ADC that scales very strongly into late game (since with her kit making her good early to mid game is pretty much impossible) she has to have a very powerful single target steroid.
She's also been kind of bad most of the season, without really even being the best-scaling ADC. Twitch and Kog are at least comparable, without Vayne's weaknesses or limitations.

Yet, she still instantly kills tanks because you can't build against her, she's hyper-mobile and can push E to remove any threat, and can't be caught unless you have a pink ward on you at all times. I gather that you're not very smart, but tell me, are you really so dull as to believe that Vayne just right clicks on an enemy champion and immediately wins the team fight? She just clicks without any care for her positioning or kiting until everyone dies?
Vayne is high skill cap because of how unforgiving she is. More than any ADC save Draven and I guess maybe Kalista she requires the most precise orb-walking, positioning, and kiting mechanics due to her very short range, effective threat radius, and her fragility. Her E is also much harder than any of Blitz or Jhin's fuck ass skill shots to properly land if they aren't basically stupid enough to let you hit it. A Vayne that can't Q to both dodge a Nidalee spear and bring her in the right spot to pin the enemy Maokai who is W'ing in to a wall is hardly a Vayne at all.

Are you really completely incapable of figuring out why Vayne might be weak despite not being touched directly?
Do you think it might be because the game changed around her to make her weak, through itemization changes and buffs to champions who counter her?
Like holy shit, do you really think the only factor in a champion's balance is in changes to their kit? I can't believe you'd be so foolish as to imply that. You should be fucking ashamed of yourself.
She's bad because she gets shit on in lane by every other ADC, including other hypercarries, and she doesn't reach a mid game power spike as significant as Twitch or Kog'maw. She 1v1s well once she gets Blade of the Ruined King, but when in fights with multiple enemies her single target damage, short range, and inability to itemize for defense early on means she gets blown up and killed. Compare to Twitch, who massively outranges her and has huge AOE damage, or Kog'maw, who has both of those things and also rushes an item with MR for his first item.
Want to counter-build Vayne? Build armour and HP. Most of her damage is physical. Buy items that slow her attack speed as well.
She can remove one threat with her E. That's what you people don't understand. Vayne is the duelist ADC, but she is one of if not the worst ADC for dealing with multiple champions gunning for her. By making her have to switch targets her DPS is decreased significantly, or at least it would be if she wasn't killed immediately once dove on. She also does very poorly against most mid lane mages who can CC and burst her from outside her threat radius.
Late game is Vayne hard to deal with? Yeah, but that's her only saving grace. She pays for her late game far more than Kog'maw or Twitch pay for their similarly strong late games.

She gets 1.66 attack damage per level while other common weak basic attack champions like Mages commonly get 3 attack damage per level. She gets only slightly over half the AD per level a Mage gets. Not to mention her range is pretty limited, not extending past the little 550 range circle of death around her.

hell, there are barely any champions at all with nothing over 550 range. Even melees tend to have 600-700 range gap closers. Actually, I'll list them. Darius, Renekton, Rammus, Udyr, Volibear. End list. and Renekton can sometimes double dash

LordGeovanni1 votesI agree people only argument that people have that vayne can be how she is now is that she doesnt have poke have 25 less range than most other adc as if this game is only adc versus adc vayne rips through every other class of champion and is still pretty even with adc because though she has less range she also has more movement speed so she can stick on them faster than they can run and she his spamable invisibility spamable ad steriod and gets free also hard cc only 5 other adc has hard cc. if you dont have armor she has crits if you have armor she his % max hp damage you cant win the only thing you can do to win is delete her and riot take away most assassins deleting power versus adc to make them more effective against the champions that should counter them
