Srsly AP itemization got so gutted that a mage simply can not function without something as crazy as 1.5k tr00 damage laz0r, passive mini-intervention or fenomenal 600 AP in 20 minutes.

Absurd scalings of 120% on multiple spells don't matter if you just can't build AP.

I felt the issue on the PBE was the clunkiness of aiming his Q. While he has late game clearing now, he's got no method of accurately farming early game beyond autos now.

It is clunky, but main point is even if you do farm, items you buy for it are still crap. Right now there are just no good items for Swain to build.
