I want to DELETE my preset Runes

Not hide them, but actually DELETE them.

I don't ever want to have another situation where my runes are suddenly changed to one of these garbage sets!

You can't. If you fail to save the runes before the champion select timer runs out, you will be forced to go with preset runes. Like it or not, but if oreset runes didn't exist you'd go to battles withiut any runes. (Unless they program the game to have auto rune trees in each chamoion just how like you have then when you start the game.

Umm, that's not true lol.

If you fail to save the runes before the champion select timer runs out, you will:

A) Enter the game with the rune page you used for your previous game/the last one you saved in champion select
B) (Default to a preset if you deleted the runes of your previous game for some odd reason)

Having the option to delete the presets would be great. It would be your fault if you entered a game with no runes anw (you would have to delete the set you used in your previous game AND not save anything new, 100% your fault), just like you could with the old rune system. There's no reason we don't have the option.

You can always select who could delete them, like only let levels 30+, X year old accounts, etc.

if riot changed them to actual real runes pages it would probably keep newbies from picking awful runes in their ranked games, because even minion dematerializer is more meta than all those pages right now.

It's there to prevent from not being able to finish their rune page while in champion select, aka it might bug while saving or you were alt tabbed.

Shitty preset runes are better than no runes at all.

Or at least, I don't know .. Allow us to have more than 2 custom pages? Maybe gives us 5 total so we can have at least one for each tree and then presets when we "accidentally" don't pick runes?

The rune pages are a 1-to-1 of the old rune pages. I've got something like 17 I can use.

If you don't want to pay for the convenience of having more rune pages ready to go then get better at customizing them quicker.

After a fair amount of grinding plus my carryover from when they switched I have 12 pages. I still have these default pages in my list though and I don’t want them cluttering my choices. At the minimum if they are hidden they should be hidden in champ selection as well.

Runes are free. And it takes like 20 seconds to change them. ... I have played like 200 games all year and I still know them well enough to quickly change my runes every game.

I have like 9 pages from 2 for 1 sales from previous years and you know how many I use? 1. I change my runes every game not only so I know that I won't have the wrong runes, but because sometimes I want to change my runes for specific scenarios.

Then change your runes faster. It takes me AT MOST 10 seconds to swap an entire rune page out. It is like 8 mouse clicks.

I said "just to have more convenience." I can swap my runes out in just a couple seconds as well, but I'd rather make sure to have multiple pages just in case I don't realize that I have the wrong page in time, not enough time to switch my runes out but just enough time to switch to a new page. Yes I realize it's my fault for doing so, but it happens to everybody now and then.

One time I got all my pages removed while I was in lobby, I dodged already that day and everyone in my lobby said to "just make a new page" but everytime I picked a category for a keystone it would close. Thus making it impossible to make a new page and I had to use a stupid default one, that I couldnt even edit, like cmon man.

What would you like to happen if you're in the middle of editing a rune page and the game starts? What about new players? What if they are messing around thinking they can make their own if they delete the presets?

When you finish editing a page it already knows how to ask you if you want to save or discard the changes. The previous page is still there, and could be defaulted to instead. Riot won't ever let you delete the pages, but I could see a change to what is defaulted to being tied to the toggle that hides the pages now.
