As it says:** Always** lock in your picks.

Ban important champions to ban, not the odd pick who carried the last game you lost. Chances aren't that every Ryze is going to beat you.

Most importantly: if you decide not to ban a high-ban-rate champion for the sake of playing that champion yourself make sure you are guaranteed that champion.
Do not leave Darius/Mundo/Tahm Kench out of your bans if your Top/Support isn't first pick and can't trade with whoever's first pick.
**The enemy WILL pick that champion before you. ** Reasons range from never getting to play that champion because he's overpowered to feeling good about doing well with a character designed to remove mechanical skill from the equation. Either way, if you can't pick 'em first, there's a high chance the enemy will.
