Teemo gets kicked from TB more than any other champ, why?

I enjoy playing Teemo, as he is quite strong with the current meta (sated junglers). Most of the top champs these days are melees such as Darius, Fiora, GP, Tryn, so fourth...

Teemo not only excels against them, but with his ult he makes it extremely hard for anyone to gank him. Why is the general consensus in League is that you are going to lose top, and throw the game with Teemo? Come mid or late game, an ADC that steps on a mushroom basically loses half health. Teemo can easily protect his lane being pushed with mushrooms and can push quite well himself.

Just don't understand all the hate. I basically can't use him in TB because I get insta-kicked, although I win the majority of the games with him when I actually get him.
