Why do people think Ashe is a counter to Jinx?

I've been playing a lot of Jinx lately, and therefore I've been playing against a lot of Ashes lately. The thing is, at least in my Bronze V world, I usually win lane. Why do people think she counters?

because ashe can counterpush fairly save and it´s really easy to kill Jinx with an Arrow. a well played Ashe actually beats most opponents, it´s not really by chance she´s at a rather high-winrate.

According to LoL Counter app which uses statistics, Ashe counters Jinx AND Jinx counters Ashe. Its the damn weirdest thing I have ever seen.

Who did you talk to that said Ashe counters Jinx? Sounds like a complete mismatch for Ashe. In Bronze V people typically aren't taking counter picks, they are just taking who they know.

Errr, nope. I actively try to counter when I'm stuck in mid or top, because I just don't know how to play those lanes. I'm already disadvantaged just by being in that lane, better to take any other advantage I can get. Maybe my 25 champion pool limits me from too many "Leblanc against Ahri" counters, but if I can take Panth against Wukong or Heimer against Riven it's good enough.

Try Garen against Riven, super fun time. His Q stops her from spamming her Q and E spin-to-win means her stun is useless (it doesnt stop even when he is stunned hehehe) plus W just nullifies a ton of damage. The only problem is her ridiculously stupid E can block most of Garen's ult making it useless unless they have like less then 200 hp and allows her to dash away to safety (really hate her E)...

Some people think Garen doesnt counter Riven, but so far not only have i never lost to one, ive completely destroyed her in lane. If she gets kills its cuz she is killing other lanes lol.

I'm actually the worst Garen NA. I feed every time I play him. People say he's incredibly easy, but I'd do better with a cardboard box.

Haha there is really nothin to Garen except to build tanky though :). If you fight AD build Armor, if AP then MR.

Riven can dash during your stun animation, placing her away from your follow-up and blocking the damage you would have scored.

A bad Riven loses to Garen, but a mediocre+ Riven wrecks Garen.

Yea true... and a mediocre+ Garen wrecks a mediocre+ Riven. She can dash away sure but then she cant do any damage... The whole point of Garen is he stops Riven from dealing damage and from farming, that is why he counters her.

Garen can build full Tank and win because Riven takes more damage trying to fight him then she can deal. If she tries to farm Garen just zones her, if she uses her dash to go in Garen will kill her. She can only be on the defensive EXCEPT when her ult is up, once her ult is up she will do a shit ton of damage, but not enough to take out a full tank Garen. All Garen needs to build is IE and Black Cleaver for damage and he will win most trades against Riven. Late game Riven will absolutely destroy everything though, thats why you dont let her reach that point or just focus her down.

She blows her dash to evade your silence, after that you can chase with spin but she will be unsilenced and can choose to either stun and Q away until your spin is down and then return with her Q to out-trade you, or just straight up out-trade your spin. Riven hard-counters Garen. A mediocre Riven will still destroy a mediocre/good (As if there is a difference) Garen.

Garen can't zone Riven, Riven can zone Garen. Riven has a strong edge because of disables+mobility, the only thing Garen has going for him is his sustain and even that gets out-done by her shield. It's a very bad match-up for Garen... but keep pretending otherwise and feeding enemy Riven, np.

Like i said if the Garen is bad he will waste his abilities... Garen just negates Riven's damage... Garen counters Riven...

If Riven goes in on you with Q, you Q she cant dash away quick enough, then you spin. If she stays she takes damage, if she runs you won the trade. If she keeps attacking pop W and negate like 30% of her damage and then just back off while spinning... This is how every fight against Riven has gone for me, the only way i lose to Riven is if im being camped by enemy jungler. If enemy jungler doesnt gank, Riven goes 0/20 and AFK's, this has happened way too often for me to just only be fighting bad Rivens...

So keep dreaming in your little world about the one time you beat a bronzie Garen...

That is an assertion without logic or reason behind it. To reiterate why your argument is nonsense; Riven holds the trump card of maneuverability whereas Garen is given a massive crutch in the form of incredibly long animations (Q and R). If you go in with Q, Riven can dash/shield out before the Q lands absorbing the damage and putting her a good distance away from your follow-up. This gives her the choice to retreat while you blow your CDs trying to catch her, or commit and try to trade.

You will never Q/E a Riven that is even remotely competent. It is Garen that will waste his abilities... I say this as a fan of Garen, not Riven. Play at Diamond, or even Plat level, before talking nonsense.

Reverse of reality. Riven negates Garen's damage. Riven counters Garen... at least this is the case if Riven player is even remotely competent.

I guess you just ignored the websites or you saw them and refuse to acknowledge you are wrong. This is not just based on my own experiences, every single website i went to said the exact same thing im saying to you. Garen counters Riven. Sure a good Riven will dash away and a bad Garen will blow all his CD's for no reason (because apparently he is too stupid to realize his opponent dashed away now... and my argument is nonsense lol) but a good Riven will Dash away and a good Garen will go farm and keep making her dash away. That or he forces her to fight, a fight SHE WILL LOSE, how can she Q or E when she is silenced? How can she not take damage from E when the only person who can stop it is Garen (if she is fighting him, she is getting hit by it this is only logical)?

You clearly refuse to listen to the reason of MULTIPLE PEOPLE AND WEBSITES so there is no point to this debate. You are simply arguing, i dont want to argue, there is no point to continuing this. Feel free to give your response to this but i wont respond :)

This is why you have been stuck in bronze and silver for so long. Try playing at plat/diamond level or at least spectate other games and realize that what you read on websites is not representative of high skill play.

It's on proper lane trade, it's very easy for Ashe to win lanes against adcs that lack mobility. Although, Ashe in general takes a lot of skill to use correctly.

A good jinx will try to win with rocket and zap harass, a good ashe will try to win with crit poke and volley harass. Both can win, its all based on who can poke and kite more, though ashe has a insane ult over jinx.
