So why is it that people are calling for the bat to hit Garen?

After playing against him for a awhile now i can say he is fine, he is still the same old bruiser trying to get close, except that when he finally does it he has the damage to back it up.

Yet he still the same dude that gets countered when Thresh flays, or Alistar uses Q or W, i don't see how any team with an average amount of CC fears him. Last game the enemy Garen was fed and we had a Kog Maw, even while fed he posed no threat, i was Varus mid, so using my E and my ult to zone his team made Garen a sitting duck, he has no CC and if his team can't back him he's useless.

I consider Darius to be 10X the threat he is because atleast Darius survives through his Q and has way better utility.

So why is Garen "Nerf worthy"?
