Supports counterjungling was top tier Meta on more than one occasion

Valhalla Rising··5 votes·759 views

I specifically remember The most common thing being the Jungler giving their Nautilus support lvl 2 off a camp so they could tilt the enemy Jungler while the Adc solo laned for the first few minutes. (in fact it was so meta I was once given the first camp from my Jungler just because I was Nautilus Supp, and this was in bronze)

That was just the most common scenario, Supports harassing enemy Jungler lvl 1-2 has been a thing for as long as I can remember.

And do we really forget the "smite meta" so easily? When top took smite for hulk, mid took smite for Runeglaive, and even some Adc's took smite for Devourer, I don't recall this being considered bannable.

The truth is there is a double standard for supports when it comes to breaking the meta because Rito constantly balances(and from what we've recently learned, enforces) the game around one role babbysitting another for 20 min straight, which contractions their goals of diverse gameplay(Thor forbid someone shows a playstyle that gives the Supp role more appeal).

Seems everyone on the Rito team is too afraid to comment on this topic though, unfortunately..

Well we have Wuks. I've already said what i think about his opinion.

Don't blame Wuks, he doesn't set policy. He just has a blue Arbiter tag next to his name which means pretty much nothing except he's a normal player who is willing to parrot what Riot thinks is appropriate without being paid to do so.

I am not blaming him. I wrote a decent reply to his thread which, while definitely not in agreement with his words, was respectful and definitely not a personal attack on him.

Hopefully we have won him over to my side of the argument, which will help a little bit.

No, he won't change his message if he wants to keep his blue tag. He probably would like to work for Riot at some point and feels like the Arbiter program is a good first step. I don't predict a change any time soon if that's the case.

Mind, I'm not faulting him for it if I actually am reading him right. Chase your dreams and whatnot.

supports don't just sit around, they roam also don't they?

You can't roam, the 3/0 adc that can't farm will throw a fit about him being solo killed by the enemy 0/3 adc because you weren't there or maybe he gets killed because he proceeded to 1 vs 3 the enemy support, jungler and adc because he wanted a kill did I mention it's your fault if he fought that 3 vs 1?... and i'm not even joking, it happened more than once to me and I'm pretty sure happens to anyone who dares to play supp.

No, supports play morgana and AFK in a bush spamming w whenever it's up for frost queen procs

I think the problem was that they wouldn't communicate that with their team and would refuse to anything different. I'd be mad too if I get in game as draven, a kill reliant champ, and have to 1 v 2 a zyra and miss fortune.

the fact was it had to be manually audited because there simply wasn't enough of a volume of reports to begin with. (to get an automatic response). A real person had to go in and judge them.

that singed was not out to troll games, he was doing what he believed was working for him.

and because it was being done in high elo their reports are worth more and riot caters to them.

It had to be manually audited because they werent going 0/18 in a 25 min game and using inappropriate language. It had to be manually audited because they received enough reports that they had to look into it, but they weren't explicitly saying that they would not work with team. They were probably just silent and I'd their own thing

The smite meta wasnt "breaking the meta"

The smite items were simply to strong...

And this man didnt pick support and roam. He picked support and then proceeded to jungle.

He was basically double jungling and queing support for faster ques.

It would be like me queing support and then just going mid and saying "double mid works"
