EastCoastConcept2 votesI very much disagree. Her damage is weak as hell. Even before it was weak for a long time. I'm a Katarina main, and always have been. With the old kit, she had a hard time weak early due to her being melee, and her abilities just being overall weak early. Its hard to hit both parts of the q in lane, but even if you did you'd only do a small chunk of damage. However, she was good in the sense that when you went in at the right times and played her patiently and properly she was very strong. Now her damage is inconsistent, and hard to pull off. Shes completely terrible now.

Hauling Ashe1 votesIt's so easy to get away from her now and she has absolutely zero escapes. At least before, she could ward hop. Now if you want to get away you have to W before the engage and pray you don't get cc'd before the blade disappears. Her already poor farming phase also just got trashed to hell with the new Q.
Another thing that bothers me is that shunpo is a dash instead of a teleport. I used to use Kata to counter op solo champs like Veigar and Lux. Now their snares catch even Kata on her E.
Not to mention she just feels absolutely weak with her blade pickup, as if the old Sinister Steel didn't feel weak enough. And did I mention everything she does is still absolutely countered by cc?
Basically her entire kit is telegraphed now and you can spot her next move from a mile away. She definitely got nerfed with this update and most certainly did not get the Rengar treatment.
