Free Supports and Autofill

Since free champions aren't available to pick in Ranked, this doesn't entirely apply there.

In order to lower queue times since, apparently, the number of players isn't up-to-par with the number necessary to keep queue times low Riot has decided to make a large number of supports free to play for quite a while, and they introduced the Autofill function to force players into Support (most of the time).

Though this may have lowered queue times, I'd like to think players would agree that 2 minutes more to wait is better than 20-40 minutes of forced supporting-- either you or an ally, often losing the lane and then the game because both the role and champions available are unfamiliar.

I don't want to forfeit a functioning team in exchange for lower queue times. Do you?

Queue times should be lower. I think that players have been somewhat spoiled by playing only one or two roles. Stay flexible and it makes the whole playing experience better. Most people don't like to wait 2-3 minutes for a game. Just play the role you're assigned and if you're not familiar with it then eventually when you're a good player you'll become more familiar with it.

Several things: "Good" players main two roles and one to three champions at most.

I am flexible, so I'm not the problem. The issue is the players that, in the very long interval between knowing one champion and being able to fill well, we get terrible supports in most games.

Most people don't like playing 20 minutes of no fun.
