Why don't people rage about the skarner rework?

The Bearded Bard··1 votes·706 views

I see rage about the Morde rework, I see rage about the Cass rework (which personally I don't understand, she's largely the same champion but now seems to be more powerful), rage about the Karma rework from people that weren't even playing the game when old Karma was a thing, and rage about pretty much every rework that's been done, but none about Skarner and his stupid altar gimmick.

I used to play a bunch of skarner back in the day, definitely not nearly as fun as it used to be now that I'm tied to certain parts of the map that can be captured mid fight by the enemy.

Skarner was kind of reworked into the ground numerous times to the point where he became non-viable and that any rework was welcomed as a potential to improve him.

As for Cassiopeia, she does not at all play the same way as she used to pre-rework. Prior to that catastrophic Shurima event, I could stack AP and melt people with nothing but Q and W. Now that E is the ungodly poster child of her kit, Q and W are invalidated as offensive spells and act as nothing but set up for E. There is no way to play her now with a focus on her poisons because she cannot function in a lane without having a seizure on your E button.

league players dont 'rage' because they are mainly children and riot is sadly the most important thing in their life. they can do no wrong to children who worship them and their game.

Rarely does a game go by where at least one player doesn't rage. Even more rare, if not impossible, is going through the boards and seeing nothing but level-headed discussion.

they rage at each other, not riot.

Or if anything, a level headed player writes something intelligent, and the unintelligent morons weigh how much that topic effects 'them' and then they flip out.

Example, "Skarner is op"

unintelligent player: "I hardly ever see skarner, and when I do (in bronze 5), he is terrible...this guy is dumb" intelligent player: "I don't know enough about this, need to look into it"

either way, you don't get 'rage' other than from the unintelligent player who will call you stupid.

Look up and down the front page of the boards and tell me none of that rage is directed at Riot. Hell, take a look at the player behavior forum and tell me no one rages at Riot.

Cause every time we did and they reworked him again he just got worst and worst. It got to the point where we just don't anymore cause we don't want him to get worst....again.

But is anyone having fun with his new kit? I personally hate the shrine minigame. It's boring and even when it's me getting the shrines it's helpful to the enemy as they know example where the person getting the shrine is.

Plus it destroys any possibility of laning with him, and makes sieging with your team very hard considering how gimped you are without the zones.

I'll be honest with you: I LOVE the shrines...on ARAM and Dominion.

The shrines on Summoner Rift? Horrible.

People raged a lot when it was happening and for a short bit after it released.

I think some people stopped caring because it feels like nothing we say matters on that topic.

Others felt bad because he had a high win rate at first. Even though his kit was terrible, its hard to complain about something thats winning a lot.

Im glad that one of the guys are RIOT admits that it really wasnt a good rework, and that they may have in fact mislabeled Skarner as a Juggernaut.

One day, hopefully, RIOT will be happy with our crystal scorpion.

Why bother? We all knew it was going to turn out poorly, just like we knew the first two would turn out poorly. We expected nothing from it.

He's been so poorly designed for so long that it's not even worth getting mad about. Everyone has moved on. If they ever fix it, then great, I'll be happy, but I don't expect them to fix it. Riot isn't that interested in him, and I can't blame them, because we aren't either.

Yeah why did they have to rework Soraka

They did. I did. Also, don't forget this was the SECOND Skarner rework. By the time of the second, most of the Skarner fans had already been forced to give up the poor bug after the MASSIVE dumpstering that they gave to him in his first rework.

Simply put, after the first trash "rework" there WEREN'T any Skarner fans. So no one was left to cry for him. At that point they were just mutilating his corpse. He stopped being the champions we loved ages ago.
