Sion's W passive HP does not add to Cinderhulk HP

Cinderhulk: "25% bonus HP" Sion W: "Bonus HP: xxx"

Just played him for the first time ever, in jungle, because you know, jungle main. I was looking though, and I had 546 HP from Cinderhulk, then killed a large creature, gained 10 on my W, but still 546 HP.

Is his W bonus HP not bonus HP? I get that it'd be OP, but I feel like it's kinda a clarity thing.

Actually, 25% of 10 = 42.

Definitely need some Red clarification on this. begins to channel the spirit of Meddler

It just needs to be reworded to extra health. It's more like Hp growth than actual bonus HP.

Bonus HP is HP sources from outside the champions stats/kit.

That is assuming Cho's R also doesn't work. If it does then my assumptions are wrong. Or other HP boosting abilities like Nasus and Renekton. Edit: Tested, they don't add to it either.

All HP you gain that isn't from levels are bonus hp So that includes things like Vladimir passive (AP --> HP) and Cho'Gath ult and Sion W

CubedJustice1 votes

So, what you're saying is, Vladimir cinderhulk jungle?

Champion Skin1 votes

Well you could try I suppose but Vlad's passive isn't that OP... it is pretty good but... well yeah with Cinderhulk Vlad would gain about 0.35 extra health per ability power if you have cinderhulk... So for each 100 AP you would gain about 35 extra hp...

And well there is also the problem of actually clearing the jungle and ganking XD

CubedJustice1 votes

Hush now, that's unimportant. Vladimir has that 35%(?) slow on his W, he'll be fine.

I actually tried vlad jg, and cinderhulk does NOT benefit from vlad's passive, however vlad's passive DOES benefit from cinderhulk, which means a Cinderhulk Rabadons vlad would be gaining both boosts in both areas, but no game-breaking hellspikes from any items.

I think it worked last year mate.

If we're gonna necro-thread, lets do it right; Vlad's passive, like Sion's, never worked with Cinderhulk in that Cinderhulk gives additional health based on passive health gained. However the bonus health from Cinderhulk has always given Vlad more AP

And to further that, if you buy Rabadon's, it'll add AP from cinderhulk, which will then increase bonus health. If the ratios were higher, it'd be hilariously broken.

Bonus HP is anything outside of the base health and health growth per level values.

Cindikle1 votes

Apparently not since neither Cho or Nasus's ult add to Cinderhulk's passive. (Just got done testing.)

Bonus HP seems to only count as bonus from outside of the champions kit. Runes/masteriers/items.

So all this time I've been doing summoner 11 Sion wrong?

Cinderhulk does benefit from Sion's W, however there can be a delay in updating the amount of bonus HP Cinderhulk grants.

Sion's W passive counts as base health does it not?

yup.

No.

They do not stack and anyone saying otherwise is spreading misinformation.

25% of 10 is .5, it's not enough for cinderhulk to give more hp (game doesn't round up)

KMannnnn128 votes

A bunch of intense math just happened there.

25% of 10 is .25*10=2.5

Even without rounding up, it should give 2 more HP.

FourVsFive21 votes

No way I pretty sure 25% of 10 is 0.35

kDrakari2 votes

I think 25% of 10 is 25 tho.

9+10=21

Cindikle5 votes

Aside from someone pointing out your math. The game rounds to the nearest whole number. 0.5 is generally rounded up not down.

GroundRuleDouble1 votes

Correct. The games rounds to how you were taught in school. .4 and lower, it rounds down. .5 and higher, it rounds up. Amumu W (I think that's the right ability) with the % max health is a prime example where you can see this.

You should post this on the bug forum with corroborating screenshots. Title it:

[BUG] Cinderhulk not granting correct bonus life

Edit: also, for bad math people, 25% of 10 is in fact 2.5

There is a delay for updating item tool tip. It benefits.
