+50g on the cost Passive now has a X s CD (any number here so item isnt completely broken vs dot and dft)
Its kinda aparent on how better shield is than blade on almost any champion in the game right now, it gives too much sustain and its too easy to get it too (with blade you actually have to risk yourself to get the sustain).

If they up the price, they could probably make it scale with the champion's base health regen (adjusting stats and cost as necessary).
It just seems odd that Doran's Shield is the only item which doesn't scale.

Blade is sold after early game anyway, all dorans items fall off since they dont build into anything.
EndlessSorcerer2 votesDoran's Ring's mana regeneration scales with the champion's base mana regeneration and stacks with itself.
Doran's Blade provides lifesteal which scales with the champion's autoattack damage (AD, attack speed, crit, armor pen) and stacks with itself.
Doran's Shield's passive is unique (doesn't stack with itself) and has no stats which scale into the mid-game, making it an exception. Armor and MR are pretty much the only thing it scales with but lifesteal has the same benefit.
Last avatarname2 votesAs a toplane tank main I think it is a very strong item and I agree with the idea that it needs a nerf, however I think both increasing the gold cost and nerfing the passive is way to much.
