So this season i wanted to reach plat (ended gold last season) but the mmr didnt reset properly,i placed bronze 2 so ive started by winstreaking with 22 lp gains, not improving, and then as soon as i approached the rank i ended in preseason(silver 2) my lp gains lowered to 20-21 and then i lost some just before promos and then yay, all of a sudden my lp downgraded when it didnt improve at all while i was winstreaking so ive been getting 17-19 lp and then all of a sudden there was 0 match quality anymore, all stomps, one enemy getting too fed on the other side so i fell from 56% wr to 50% wr super fast so now i got kicked back to silver 4 0 lp, and most games i can't do anything to make my team win, its so one-sided its disgusting, so guess i will give up all the champs i got over the time and play on a new account, this new system and matchmaking is so awful honestly.

New accounts start in Iron. Your probably better off sticking to your main.

A side effect of a lower MMR starting place is that its very likely we will see the entire ranked ladder shift to be lower Tiers. Hard to say exactly with out knowing how many active accounts there are in the system and what riots soft reset looked like.

But traditionally when you test it on paper then the starting Elo/MMR for accounts tends to be 50% marker, half the game population is below half is above. Unless they tweaked a lot of variables on their adjustments and MMR gains to artificially help players climb to silver I expect we will see something like 70% of the games player base in Iron to Silver.

altough on the new account i would probably gain 27 lp and skip divisions if i win a lot

Honestly, if Riot offered a "MMR Reset" every new season, im sure many players would take it. Once that MMR drops, you can never get it back for the most part.
