Nasus has a 45% winrate

HateDaddy··63 votes·4,169 views

Dropping from previous 47%

Look, the game is doing him no favors currently. The ult changes were nice but he becomes tankiest when he needs it the least. Either reverse the values on his ult where they start at the highest (instead of reaching their highest at the end of his ult) plus the base values or give it %damage reduction because Nasus still dies super fast. And give him %healing vs champions but only make it heal with a certain number of stacks (say 300).

Nasus sucks and needs buffs, that's the gist of this thread. I now welcome downvotes by the various circle jerks who are mad I'm not whining about ADCs being OP

to be fair nasus isn't stat checking if you get out of his E he loses a big chunck of damage+ 40 armor pen

however his point and click insane low cd slow is a bit unhealthy

i think if you want to buff him, you need to rework or work a lot on his W to make him buffable

well theres one of your problems playing him if you're going stormraiders. That means you aren't getting the 15% tenacity and able to go ninja tabis, you are pretty much pigeon holed into merc treads with that setup when you desperately need tabis in this meta. Not to mention that grasp is the only way you can even hope to trade/lane vs most of the current strong tops.

I wouldn't mind nasus changes but top lane needs to change a lot in general before I will play it again

Why the fuck would you be remotely interested in trading with strong top laners? Do you play nasus, or have you ever played him? He's utter garbage early. Maybe in some silver shitfest you can auto Q some dumbass melee champion and get away with it, but for the majority of the time, Nasus is going to have to wait for farm to come to him.

I probably have 3-4 times the games you do on Nasus, but in previous seasons. I've barely played in the past couple months or so, I decayed to plat 5, and now I only play games when I feel like it or I'm about to decay.

If you try to trade with strong top laners in the early game as Nasus (if not stacking E) then you are going to get all inned and die, and you will deserve it because you played like a fuckin' idiot.

Why do you think your opinion is relevant if you haven't even played this season? Complete moron.

Bitch please, I didn't backtrack at all.

Go ahead and trade with early game powerhouses like Darius without maxing E. Your shitty little Grasp isn't gonna save you. You're going to die and you'll fucking deserve it.

You're basically saying that doing something stupid doesn't count if you're Diamond III. Sorry, but jumping off a bridge is still a fucking retarded thing to do. Doesn't matter if it's a year from now, it doesn't matter if it's a bronze or master tier player that says to do it. It's still a bad idea.

I just don't like grasp anymore. It falls off in lane phase and SS at least makes kiting you harder. I prefer the grasp playstyle but I honestly have had less success with it compared to SS. And I hate running SS on Nasus, but grasp feels like utter dog shit. I'm always torn between the two and regardless of which I take, I feel the trade off is never worth it.

Uhm. Why are you going 12/18/0 and not 0/18/12 for the tenacity and reduced summoner spell cd?

No, the CD can get to 6.05 seconds certain combinations of items, masteries, and runes. Its actual CD is 11 seconds at rank 5.

ChaoticPinecone1 votes

You shouldnt treat the base cooldown of abilities the same for all champions. There are certain champions who tend not to get any CDR - Yasuo, Cassiopeia, Aatrox, Tryndamere, Yi, etc. Then there are champions who love CDR but would rather have damage, so they sit at 20% or so. Then there are champions who love to stack CDR, attempting to cap out as soon as possible. Nasus is in that category.

Then there are champions whose abilities start their cooldown on cast, while others start their cooldown when the ability ends. Nasus is in the former, while champions like Fiddlesticks is in the lattert.

So yes, while the actual cooldown is 11 seconds at rank 5, its 11 seconds from cast-to-cast not the end-of-slow to start-of-next-slow, and the frequency you see a 11-second-cooldown on Nasus' W makes that point less applicable to an actual game.

Actually, if you're referring to Fiddlesticks' drain, it starts the CD while the ability is channelling so you Chain Drain.

Im more worried about the even lower cd undodgable Q that 2 shots carries on a full tank with Tri Force at like 400 stacks xd

Ahristocats44 votes

then better be worried by the undodgeable 1k crit damage from 550 range of an adc that has an even lower cd

Salson4 votes

So, you wanna make it a skillshot? Something like Yorick's E would actually be cool.

good idea, however i don't like taking ideas of other champions

if they can't find anything else, better take it tho

The problem is that Wither is extremely powerful only VS Auto-Attackers, and most of them would buy QSS and upgrade it to Mercurial Scimitar.

In rest, it is a strong ranged slow, but on a very immobile champion. It is his only way to get closer to the enemy.

Weakening it would just accentuate his problem, which is being kited to death, even with 1K Stacks.

Nasus isn't a team oriented champion. He has a very selfish playstyle in a meta where everyone is dedicated to keeping the carries alive and investing gold/cs into them.

Yet his late game fantasy is supposed to be that of a hyper carry, yet he isn't.

Probably because the bot lane adc is getting all the protection a hypercarry needs to not die late.

But Hatedaddy, how can I kite Nasus if his team keeps locking me down or protecting him since they're giving him so much focus?

If his team is giving Nasus the same protection/dedication as they would a marksmen hypercarry, then Nasus probably wouldn't be kited so easily since it wouldn't be 1v1.

Late gem he gets melted because he has no mobility to dive and ADCs will shred and mages will zone and supports will peel.

But those items just make sense with him. Why would you not get a spellblade item on a champ with a low cooldown empowered auto? Why would you not want 30% more healing on a champ that gets 20% free lifesteal?

True, but the items that have the cdr with them are some of the best items to go with Nasus' kit (namely item 3025 or item 3078 and item 3065 ).

Also this is CDR we're talking about, hitting 45% doesn't require much, if any, sacrifice.

Yes, he gets those items because they are the best for him. No one is arguing against the effectiveness of CDR on Nasus. What you people don't understand, though, is he doesn't get that CDR or those items for free. He has to buy them, and he gives up buying other items.

Not much of a sacrifice? If Nasus had a second innate that gave him 40% CDR, do you honestly believe he wouldn't be the most broken thing in the game since beta TF?

That would be a valid argument if there were items without CDR that Nasus actually wanted. However, all of his core offensive and defensive options come with CDR tacked onto them, exceptions that I'm aware of being.....well actually I'm pulling a blank here, maybe DMP?

I'm honestly not sure what is being disputed here, I'm talking about hitting the CDR cap in general not just when it comes to Nasus. Really, there aren't much sacrifices made when trying to achieve max CDR on pretty much every champion. Maybe back in the earlier seasons when CDR was a luxury stat with only 10% distributions on a few choice items and like 2 20% options. CDR is on so many items these days however that overcapping is a very common thing in builds. I've actually thought about dropping my CDR blues in favour of MR or AP blues because the 10% is kind of wasted unless the game is super short enough for me to not get half build.

There aren't many items without CDR that Nasus wants because he wants CDR. If he got 40% CDR as a second innate, his runes, masteries, and items would significantly change.

Ah I understand what you're saying now, sorry about that I can be a bit slow sometimes.

That aside, your hypothetical passive would just make him worse. As it would make itemizing him feel awful, since some of the best item synergies available to him such as Spirit Visage, any Sheen item or Frozen Heart(if it ever got buffed to be good) have CDR which ends up being wasted gold efficiency.
