Unique Feast Stack Bonus for Cho

So, I thought it could be interesting to grant Cho boni depending on his Feast stacks, backing up his size with fitting addition. The health bonus might have to be reduced, but I really feel like this might make him more unique.

1 stack: Nothing 2 stacks: Feast heals Cho for 25% of its damage. (Well, it's a Feast!) 3 stacks: The range of Vorpal Spikes is increased by 125 units. (Obviously his spikes grow as he grows!) 4 stacks: Cho gains 6% movementspeed. (Larger legs!) 5 stacks: The duration of knockups is halved. (That guy is starting to get heavy!) 6 stacks: Cho'Gath gains resistance to knockbacks. (Ever tried to push a truck?)

Again: His health might have to be tuned down slighty to compensate for these additions, but I really feel like they thematically fit his feast & growth concept.

Number 3 is already a bit of a thing on him. All of his ranges increase as he increases in size.

I know, but it's not that noticeable until he is really, really big. I felt like an additional increase on spikes could allow some tricker plays (attack a tank so that a carry behind him gets hit). The current range is enough for pushing or jungling, but it rarely effects teamfights, even at maximum size.

Actually it's a trick I like to use in lane. When going for CS I like to position myself so my spikes hit my opponent. I technically didn't AA him so minions don't agro to me and he takes damage. Also, it can hit some enemies later on in team fights. I like picking up Liandry's later on for the burn damage, it's always satisfying to push the enemy team up lane because they don't want to get hit by any of my abilities.

It works against meele laners who don't position themselves properly, I agree. But to be honest - how often are enemies missplaced enough in teamfights for spikes to be able to be used that way? (At least playing mainly vs Gold / Plat / Dia I don't often get the chance )

shrugs Could just be low elo, idk. It makes csing a nightmare for whoever I'm laning against unless they can go in for trades early and often, but once I get Q that becomes a thing of the past.

I think it comes best when trying to flank. You've got three allies pushing up mid, you and your AD show up out of the jungle and just collapse after clearing a ward. Even if I'm not able to do so though, it does still give me a significantly bigger area of threat towards squishy champs.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the range on Vorpal Spikes increase, I don't think it's direly needed, but would love it.

While I think it would be cool to see something like that for Cho'Gath, I would have to disagree with this.

For example, say you get 6 stacks, well that's good for you, you have all of those nice buffs, but then you die. You're now at 3 stacks, and don't have the same buffs, only half of them. It won't be clear enough for the enemy team and yourself to see what Cho is getting from his buffs because they can be so easily be taken away simply by dying.

Another example, say you're at 6 stacks again You're like 8/0 and have not died for, let's say, 20 minutes total. (we're also assuming you're team is stupid and doesn't know how to end the game by that point, for arguments sake) and you end up dying eventually. You've been playing all game against the other team not worrying about knockups, thinking you can heal for more, and thinking you do more damage for 20 minutes. Since you're so used to it, you walk into Lee Sin thinking, "I can kill him, it's not like he can ult me away" then you realize he just #LCSBIGPLAYS kicked you into his team.

Idk, maybe it's just me. I don't want to see Cho get buffs THAT hard, as well as buffs in that manor. I love him as a champion, but I don't think that is the right way of buffing him since it is hard to keep up with what buffs you have.

I don't think this holds true. Since one can see his stacks and can judge his size. It would be much clear than other mechnics which already are ingame.

The recent Cassiopeia changes are a good example: Her DoTs can now deal extremely varied amounts of damage depending wether she has amplification stacks, how many stacks she has, when she gets them and when she looses them. Or Riven charges on Q, or those on Yasuo...

There are so many mechanics ingame which are unclear and have no noticeable indication but are considered fine. I dare say that size already is a good indication, with the amount of stacks being visible for the enemy it is even more clear than others (one also instantly notices that his visuals changed unlike above examples)

While I do understand your concerns I believe that it would be hypocritical to deny these mechnics to him while there are many more much worse offenders.

Why does he need kit overloading on Feast? Make him "more unique"? He's already unique. He doesn't need Spell Vamp, bonus MS and knockup immunity--which doesn't exist outside of pure CC immunity currently.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. What would these additions fix for Cho'gath?
