If they did explain why they disagree with what you're saying and it just serves to anger you or create conflict, is that really better than them just staying quiet? Sometimes it's kinder to just display your silent disapproval. Other times, they may just not want to have to repeat something that's already been stated too many times before and should've logically been realized by the poster.

I noticed this today too.

There is a salty player out there...that gets their jollies from this. I have has several completely unbiased comments downvoted to oblivion today. And normally I don't see that.
