TraakSC3 votesI'd rather be hooked by thresh than grabbed by blitz. Blitz grab means stun then silence combo. Also blitz can grab over walls and shit. Thresh can't. Thresh is a badass support though, don't get my wrong. It is just annoying to lane against a semi competent blitz where as the entire laning phase becomes don't get grabbed.

Thresh can hook you though a wall, fly through it, have his buddy hitch a ride on his lantern through the wall with him, pop you up then slow you with his ult that might as well be a snare.
He has the same potential to create offensive plays. What makes him Blitz 2.0 is that he also has the potential to make very strong defensive plays. Also he has no mana issues.

With Blitz, they do it from the safety of behind their team.
Thresh has to risk something to lock someone down after a hook, Blitz doesn't.

His Q + all in is 4 seconds of CC and It's so powerful that it changes how people play!
Positioning, Precision, Teamwork, NONE of these matter when Blitz is on your team. Just gather around the bot and wait for grab, Then gang bang the helpless chump and proceed to bowl over enemy team b/c 1 move just shattered they're whole defensive line! Thresh, and Nautalis at least have to put themselves at risk when they hook, blitz just pulls you into lock down and 2 to 5 enemy champs!
So ya... Blitz sucks!
