Welcome to AD / Targeted Meta

If your kit is not entirely targeted (or AD, with all the bullshit itemization), with absurd amounts of damage that Riot refuses to nerf, you lose, guaranteed. It doesn't matter if you are dramatically better at the game than your opponent, because their champion carries them and wins anyway.

But hey, it's SO fair and balanced for the literal easiest, safest champions in the game with the most reliable damage output in the game to be, by far, the strongest. Yep. That just SCREAMS "healthy gameplay".

So, welcome to AD / Targeted meta, folks. It sure is nice when gaming is literally built to pander to morons and whales now. Thanks F2P, I love you, so much.

I wish I could just go back in time, to when developers actually gave a fuck about the quality of their product, and didn't live 100% for money. But, sadly, that kind of developer died off a while ago, and now we just have greedy little fucks who were raised by society to be terrible people.

... Gotta love it.

I agree that the game's a bit unhealthily polarized at present (i hate the amount of damage flying around) but that's not a result of Riot putting too much stock into money. They want to improve the game, and I know it'll show in the coming updates and preseason.

No, if they wanted to improve their game, they would have years ago. This game is microscopic relative to literally anything that isn't a flash game or a phone game. The amount of time they spend doing the simplest of things shows just how little resources they put into their game.

They do not give a damn about anything but money.

Meanwhile Syndra.

I think AP is still strong, that's only one example.

Meanwhile, targeted ult being a good portion of her damage. Targeted AP is still strong, but any skillshots or complex champs are just garbage.

Who do you think the complex champs are?

Oriana, Bard, Azir, Yorick, Shaco, Ekko (if glass AP), Vlad (and actually doing things, not just being annoying), Teemo (same idea), Vel'Koz, Ryze, Taliyah (kind of), Poppy (while I think she's easy, she has a <40% winrate), and so on. Champs who have to do more than push one button and win, and have a lot of intricacies in their kit that not many people realize.

Unlike, you know, 80% of the champ pool who just clicks on you or pushes one button and instantly wins.

Oriana

Is perfectly viable.

Bard,

Is one of the best supports when played at a high level.

Azir,

Was gutted because he dominated professional play.

Yorick,

Literally just came out.

Shaco,

As always, is a powerful solo queue champion.

Ekko (if glass AP),

Tank Ekko nerfs have hurt him. He's a broken champion, and probably needs a rework.

Vlad (and actually doing things, not just being annoying),

See Azir apparently, though Riot's method of nerfing him was stupid.

Teemo (same idea),

Is not particularly hard to play and is doing all right.

Vel'Koz,

Is consistently one of the highest performing mid laners.

Ryze,

Riot is holding off on buffing Ryze to see if his low numbers are due to that very steep learning curve.

Taliyah (kind of),

Read Azir apparently.

Poppy (while I think she's easy, she has a <40% winrate),

No she doesn't.

and so on. Champs who have to do more than push one button and win, and have a lot of intricacies in their kit that not many people realize.

There's a great irony to this statement. All of Vlad's abilities are effectively point and clicks. Teemo's entire kit is point and click save his ult, which is not particularly hard to utilize. Literally Shaco's entire kit is point and click, and while he has other attributes (pretty much entirely game knowledge-based) that make him fairly high skill cap, you ignored everything about Vayne but her right click-based gameplay so I don't know why you'd take it into consideration for Shaco (JK I do know why).

Unlike, you know, 80% of the champ pool who just clicks on you or pushes one button and instantly wins.

How's it feel having like two thousand games and still not breaking out of silver?

How's it feel knowing deep down that you're not very good at the game?
