It should be obvious why towers get nerfed rather than buffed
For the LCS big plays since it's no good to have LCS be a stalling game.
Seriously, Riot is very anti-stall lately that I wouldn't doubt this is the exact reason why.

Valexfor1 votesWell a stalled game where no one manages to take an objective is quite frustrating AND unfun, they are indeed right on wanting to make the game more dynamic but they are pushing it a bit too far...
Madra1 votesGames can still go on for a very long time because of how carefully teams are playing these days. Team comps with low wave clear are so high risk that certain champs are prohibited from ever being seen in the game. They had to buff Sivir because without her, Aurelion Sol wouldn't stand a chance at seeing competitive play.
