Does heal need a nerf or does ignite need a buff?

I hate that I get flamed for picking anything that's not heal. I love ignite. I love the vision that it gives, the healing reduc and the true damage, I've been playing with it since season 1 and it works for me. I've tried heal many times and I just don't see why an ADC can't go without it. I've beaten many ADC's in lane with ignite and i've lost against ADCs when I have ignite. You know what it all came down to? SKILL!

That's your answer right there. Heal doesn't need nerfing, ignite doesn't need a buff. It's all about skill.

If anything i feel the ADC should take exhaust... but ignite? Leave that for the support.

See I'm the exact opposite. Lockdown and CC should be in the support's repertoire. Plus what happenes if they escape with a sliver of HP, but Ignite ticking down... that kill goes to the support, not the carry.

Ignite is for kill-securing. It belongs on a damage dealer if anybody.

I would agree in general. But if you've chosen champions that are strong early and plan to crush your lane. That extra pressure and kill potential could get you a snowballing lane early and shut down the enemy adc and support.

Exhaust on a support would imply the support is with you 24/7. Having exhaust on an adc ensures you basically win every 1v1 since it would basically reduce a ton of damage while boosting your own by a bit. There is nothing wrong with supports getting kills, and ignite can actually be used right at the start of a fight anyways as it reduces the effect of heal/ls/health regen during the fight in addition to the damage it does. Ignite on support is actually a rather common thing in soloq as well.

I guess I can see that, but I just don't feel right as a support not taking an extra CC spell. Igniting at the start of a fight is a good idea though. Different way of thinking, I may have to try that out.

Yeah thats pretty much what i meant, it is a good counter to the popular heal, works wonders.

If it weren't for the movement speed and ally tagging, I would see no reason to take Heal over Barrier. Barrier absorbs more damage than Heal recovers at all levels, and can't debuff itself if an ally uses theirs.

Even with those perks I still prefer Barrier. It's saved my life on hard lane engages, or when layered with Bloodthirster's shield.

Most carries are never in range for ignite
