Assassins shouldn't be able to deal with tanks. Plain and simple. If they did, they'd just have the run of the game.

Can you name a single champion who builds all of those with the exception of MF? I think Jayce might build it sometimes. Black cleaver with lethality is fairly common, but LDR or MR are not, because the items are relatively gold-inefficient and also slot-inefficient, especially if you're melee. Almost any melee would prefer a GA for some survivability.

That build is bad for killing tanks on anyone but MF (and even she can only really do it with her ult). All that armour pen is nice for getting rid of armour, but then you're not doing enough damage to their health because you don't actually deal as much damage as a crit build would.

Also name a lethality character other than MF who is actually particularly good at killing tanks. Can you? Maybe Jhin and Varus, but from what I understand the former is moving to crit and the latter is hot garbage now.

EVERY lethality user is going to get last whisper if the enemy adc or mage rush item 1031 , unless you think they're ignorants but it isn't the case in master

Why would they rush a last whisper if the enemy ADC or mage rush a chain vest? Last whisper allows the damage you deal to take place. If you're dealing no damage, what use is it?

Also, can you show me a lethality user in master rushing a last whisper basically ever?

Void staff is % pen, its good against everyone.

Liandries is flat but it also does % hp damage, so it is once again good against everything (good against squishies cause of flat pen, good against tankier targets cause of % hp)

Is this troll bait? everyone and their brother should build at least some resists if someone is shredding you. Any mage can build abyssal if theyre behind and its a solid defensive item early. Same with AD. I would argue a the only AD items that are unfair are MAW, Edge of night,(qss is bullshit too imo)

as a tank you can cant defend against ad and ap even though you have to take both damage types and tanks damage is constantly being nerfed 3/5 people on both teams are ad 90% of the time its obvious you have to build more armor than magic resist but armor itemization is exceedingly bad so you have to take up 3-4 slots with armor and hp and only leave 1 slot for magic resist which is also bad but thats okay because mages are gated by cooldown right Ahri Akali Annie Azir Anivia Cassiopeia Evelynn etc (not even talking the current state of who is bad and who is op just what the design on their kit is and what the damage their spells do relitave to how long they are on cooldown how long their up time is.)

There is a fair difference between being hard to deal with and telling ppl that mages can't be countered by design.

Any AD caster can easily smash up mages while tanks usually are meant to deal with AD casters. It's not a perfect rock-scissors-paper relationship but you can't expect X class to be able to easily counter all the others (or all the damage in all kind of forms).

by ad caster you mean assassins? mages have near 3000 hp with just item 3027 and ap items have tank item levels of resistances (and hp) on it item 3001 ------- item 3065 item 3157 ----- item 3068 item 3742

The problem is champ design and item design coming into play.

Lots of people are solely looking at items, or looking only at AD champs, or looking at AP champs but never looking at them all at the same time to get a complete picture.

If there wasn't so much champ mobility with AD's, then AP's would be fine with the current armor itemization. If AD's didn't have so much shred, on hit, spell shields, and mobility, tanks wouldn't have a problem with the current itemization. If assasins didn't have stealth, move speed, burst on hit damage, burst spell damage, and spell shields out the ears, AD's wouldn't have a problem with AD assassins. Etc...

It just goes on and on and on. It's like rock paper scissor, lizard, spock.
