Why does Ornn have so much power loaded on a stats passive?

There's no interaction or skill to it; you just get more numbers and your team gets more numbers as the game goes on.

It makes Ornn have to be completely bad (as if his obnoxious forced delays weren't fun killing enough) on the laning phase and even the fun part of being a tank, the only thing Riot lets tanks do in 2019 had to get nerfed for this.

Why? Because he's a blacksmith in his lore? You could have made a much better result by focusing on his Brittle and actually letting his team apply it, since he more often than not procs it himself.

This sucks. I hate this champion.

I do see where you’re coming from, though I don’t mond having a tank that’s more focused on later stages of the game. His items are iffy, his tank ones being my favorite just cause they actually feel more worth it upon upgrading.

I’m curious how his team would be able to apply Brittle. It might feel too similar to Sejuani and Braum’s passives. There is honestly a part of me that wishes Ornn’s autos didn’t proc Brittle, pushing more towards tenacity reduction like it’s supposed to be. Only downside is that’d make him more team reliant, and apparently Riot doesn’t want tanks to be that way as much anymore. Plus side, at least for his opponents, would be that he wouldn’t just win a trade with W-auto, but would require W, E, and maybe Q if not near enough to terrain.

Still bitter they nerfed his CC and took his shield away, but kept all his damage, even buffed it. I still try to find ways to enjoy him, but losing that shield hurts. He needs some form of active tank boost, a shield and damage reduction or something. Something so his defense isn’t all just passive stat.

Confession: I love some of his ability delays. It makes me think through the fight more so than just click and CC, and if I play it right, the reward is quite nice. Heck, I actually kind of miss his old cast time on R2. Some delays needed reduced, but he was supposed to be less reliable, a la Sion.

Idk, I still love his theme, the original idea behind him, and elements of his kit. I hate how Riot shifted his power from tank to more damage though.

IMO just make it a mark that when consumed reduced tenacity for a couple seconds. That would actually make it a lot more forgiving in soloQ. Maybe some visual or audio indicator of an "empowered" CC so you can tell when a CC will be stronger?

I just don't like the direction they'd taken him at all. He has potential to be more stand out but then they settle on "get more stats later on"

So no actual damage, just the tenacity debuff? I can get behind that. Maybe a more reddish cracked appearance, kind of like how Sej’s old permafrost put shards of ice on those hit to indicate who would be slowed?

I wasn’t a fan of his direction since end of season 7 when his damage jumped way up. I know they wanted to make him better in solo play, but I would’ve loved for him to get doubled down on true tank and his actual Brittle utility. I’ve started picking him up again, mainly because elements of his kit are still my favorites of all tanks.

It’s a bit of a bandage buff, tacking it in for the sake of giving him a ‘passive’.

Simple, Ornn is countered by EVERYONE and he's being permanerfed because no one wants to learn how to maneuver around his abilities.
