why doesn't he get bigger the more health he has? zac does that but i mean. sion stacks health. it only makes sense

Sion isn't a giant amorphous blob.

Or is he?

I would definitely say that thematically it doesn't make sense, but he does need to be a bit bigger. That and the size reduction on elixir of Iron really hurt my "CHOO CHOO I'M CHARGING THE ENTIRE LANE THROUGH"

His stomach furnace should burn brighter instead

Zac is literally a big blob of slime. Cho'Gath is a ravenous monster that devours his enemies. Sion is a zombie (and as far as I know zombies don't even reproduce cells). It would make zero sense for him to be getting bigger. Imo.

I'd love to seem him as this huge and tanky looking monster train but if you think about it, making his size bigger would be both a nerf and a buff. He will be larger in size, meaning he will be more susceptible to skillshots and abilities. This is bad for him because in laning phase/early game, he can get poked and hit a lot easier. It'd be a buff to him because of the fact that late game he will have a lot of health making him super huge. This would allow him to block more abilities for his high priority teammates (ADC and mid laner) in fights. Overall though, I think his size should scale with health.

I stopped playing Sion & Zed since they reduced their sizes...like why, that doesn't even make sense at all, Sion is supposed to be a hulky mothertucker and now he's the sama size as Darius...

HayRoss17 votes

While Sion was meant to be big, he was still a person. He didn't grow 2 feet after he died

Except the soul furnace makes him much bigger xD they legit added like a foot and a half of hextechnical hardware.

Hextech? I did not read anything about hextech in his lore.

Vlad performed some spooky ritual to revive Sion, rewatch the ''reborn'' teasers :P summoner 31

While you can rewatch his back, his belly, and one of his foot, and realize that the "Soul Furnace" isn't 100% magical in nature. Maybe not hextech in particular, but there's definitely tech involved

Mimaropa1 votes

True, he has part machines in some of his body parts which where probably lost due to rotting or got eaten by maggots. The only thing Vlad did was to revive him and put back flowing blood in him.

Anidan2 votes

Why would you want to be bigger as Zed? Being smaller in League is like being smaller in Smash - it makes you harder to be hit by things that you don't want to be hit by.

I will never get why RekSai size was decreased. Most people build tanky on her and she is supposed to be able to swallow people whole. Like wtf, why would you decrease her size????

Increasing Sion's size is actually a nerf because it increases his hitbox very slightly.

For Carthage4 votes

If you're actively trying to dodge things, it is.

However, two of Sion's abilities are affected by his size: his W and his R. His R impacts when his hitbox hits somebody, meaning his ult is actually easier to dodge now than it was before (and that is really, really, really saying something because it was painfully easy to dodge before), and his W's blast radius is measured out from the tip of his hitbox all the way to the designated range. As it stands, Sion is ultimately weaker because of the nerfs due to the fact that he now actually has reduced range on some of his abilities.

kasfas2 votes

Hitbox wasn't changed, the visuals were actually made MORE accurate for his skills.

Still doesn't mean he shouldn't be massive.

KaisadiIIa1 votes

You are a tank. You want to be hit so your allies aren't. That's why there are items/elixirs that increase size now.

He's a tank though, so the a bigger hitbox is better for meatshielding

SirHeavyScrotum2 votes

Yup. Sion isn't as fun to play anymore :(

TotalJerk1 votes

You'll appreciate the size reduction next time you're inside Veigar's E.

SirHeavyScrotum3 votes

Sion doesn't really give a fuck about getting hit by one of Veigar's abilities, he's a mega-tank

(Sion, fighting Veigar)

I have 6,000 Hit Poi..... I have 4,000 Hit Poin..... I have 5 HP. WTF man, who let you stack God Tier Q?

macromite5 votes

more like,

I have 10,000 hit poi... I have 8,000 hit poin... I have 4,005 hp. WTF man, Why did you full rotation a sion?

Chatillon1 votes

Unless they changed it, you cant stack past 6666 health, at least in s3 b/c my brother bought six warmogs on mundo and it didnt get that high, it capped at 6666, maybe its changed, but I'm pretty sure there is an hp cap

macromite1 votes

i think the cap your hit was probably closer to 66666. his passive stacks health, so it can just go on and on.

KillerKell1 votes

The thing is that Sion would have to buy MR to stand up to Veigar... pure HP wouldn't do it.

Most Sion Builds don't really get into MR, unless one adds a Spirit Visage.

So yeah, a Veigar that's really fed can Melt through 7K or 8K worth of HP not protected by say 100 MR.

You get the exact same problem with a Veigar left alone as you do with a Nasus... that One Shot Potential is real, and even extends to Champions like Sion. Especially if they add a Lich Bane to go Q/AA/R/AA... heck, the AoE spell is just a bonus at that point and time.

kasfas1 votes

One almost always must get some mr on sion, visage banshees mercs or zzroz. There is always value in getting one of these, unless their team consists of Darius kindred illaoi talon and twitch or some shit. His full build should give him between 1.5-2k hp, 200-265 armour and 45-115 mr. Not including masteries or bonus w hp.

KillerKell1 votes

One SHOULD get MR on Sion, especially since a lot of MR comes with HP.

But I see people make this mistake a TON and not get it.

I like my Armor at 200 and my MR at 150 when I play Sion, which is fairly easy to achieve.

Banshee's would be Item #1 (not First Built, but at End Game the most important) to waltz through some CC.

So I agree in your vision, and even prescribe to it... I just rarely seen Sion's do this, and then wonder why they got 1-Shot by Veigar.

kasfas1 votes

The times that my team doesn't get that the ads needs LDR and Bork, and the ap carry won't attack him...

So sad, like one time I had a mirror matchup against him right, and I wasn't having a good day. Inevitably he got some kills on me and got ahead and got armour (didn't even get the good armour items on him...). My team WOULDNT F***ing HIT HIM, nor did the adc think Bork would be a good atts (attack speed) buy vs sion top.

So mad after that I quit for the day.

KillerKell1 votes

BotRK is just cruel to Sion, and Vayne is as well... and Vayne with BotRK is living hell.

But yes, Mages that won't hit a No MR Sion, or even AP Assassins. Assassins I get a bit more, if they Dive and he Stuns it's over for them... but worth the try right?

Don't get me wrong, much like Mundo and Shen and others there ARE times you don't focus them, but there ARE times to focus them as well.

Sahn Uzal3 votes

He can run through Veigars happy little box with his ultimate :p summoner 31

Saianna1 votes

I though this thread will be about reverting his AP nerfs so he could be played as a mage..

and you talk about size... -.-

CasterGilgamesh2 votes

no one wants him to be a mage.

Saianna1 votes

I liked playing Sion Ap, so your argument is invalid.
