Sailor Mint1 votesIt's not just Charm, all taunt effects interrupt Cataclysm and Malphite's Unstoppable Force. But they don't cancel Anivia's ultimate as they are merely a "forced action", not an interrupt.
Either way, it's a bug. Probably hasn't gotten fixed because the timing window is really short.
Terff1 votesanivia's isn't a channel or anything like that, its a temporary aoe that lasts as long as she has mana, kinda like swain's ult in a way.

I remember a couple of seasons back there were several Malphite fixes to ensure his ult was actually unstoppable. Looks like bugs have crept back in since.
