Oh I completely agree with you that it is not a good 1st item.

Yes, it gives the most AP out of any single item in the game. Its passive even further increases it's own AP. It does then increase the effectiveness of all other AP items you get from then on, which can be good for when you are purchasing component items.

But, It is damn expensive It offers zero utility You get a much more significant power spike when purchased 4th, 5th, or 6th

So again, I agree with you, but purchasing it first is hardly trolling. It is an item that is suitable for any champion who utilizes Ability Power.

So getting it on Riven is trolling.

But if your only criteria is that they purchased it first, and you then report them for trolling, Riot will not do anything to them.

If you continue to do so, your reports will literally mean nothing because reporting someone for trolling when they are not trolling, is trolling. (Riot can see your reporting history)

I could see buying a death cap first if you got insanely fed early with first bonuses on some champs, it would make any subsequent buy pretty beefy early on. I still would probably go with utility items first but I wouldn't exactly call it troll.

Just because you think that's it's wrong doesn't mean that it is. On every champion? F*** no. But on some champions and in certain situations it's perfectly viable (albeit gold inefficient) to buy DC first item, and on some builds it's actually a good choice to get it second or third.

OP is correct.

Where did I say that they get more from rushing the item? I said that it's "Viable but gold inefficient", meaning that it's perfectly ok to do it on some champions but still a not so great choice. Also, he's saying that rushing an item is troll behavior and worth of a report. He is NOT correct and very much a toxic person.
