No one wants to talk about auto-carry Nasus?

Better Jungler··3 votes·1,354 views

Dude literally hits q for 35 minutes of the game, and no matter how badly he gets shit on, unless you have a decent vayne on your team, he auto-carries every game.

Built executioners, ganked him giving 13 deaths by the 25 minute mark and won every lane in the game.. yet this dude can one shot everyone at 40 minutes in?

Its like a berzerk mechanic in MMO boss fights.

"If you dont win the game by 30 minutes, Nasus will berzerk and kill your team, or split push you into the ground."

Rework is needed. His kit is boring, his cc is an infinite chain, his Q stacking mechanic is broken.

Incoming downvotes from nasus mains.

Nasus has a win rate 49.95% for Platinum+ players whilst the very best Nasus's are earning a win rate of 55.35% with the average rank of these top players being in Diamond V.

LoLalytics ranks Nasus at 116 amongst all champions earning a tier grade of Silver.

This ranking takes into account the win rate of Platinum+ players, the pick/ban influence of Nasus, the win rate and average rank of the best Nasus players.

would be really interested to see win rate x match length for nasus.

Better Jungler1 votes

so a 40 minute game, he has over a 55% chance to win the game. which is higher than any other win rate % in the game.

Thats a problem.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo2 votes

no its what he does... he is a scaling champ if you let a game go for over 40 mins you are gonna have issues

games dont go over 40 mins very often

ryze, viegar, trist, vayne would all be in this tier as well they just scale super late

victor is another one

Mecha MaIphite4 votes

Hold up.

You can't compare Nasus's winrate at a specific time to all the champions's average. You either compare both their averages, or you comb through every other champion to find their late game winrate. Someone on that list could have a 60% win rate at 40 minutes, but their average is dragged down by a weak early game.

Also, champion.gg isn't a reliable source.

Except game rarely go that long. Average game is around 28-32 minutes tops. Nasus needed these to help him better fight the front line tanks he typically is up against. You don't try and win lane over Nasus. You try and win the game.

Unless the game is a clown fiesta they really don't last that long. Most of my games at G3 are over in 20-30 minutes tops.

Main point though is this is a shit post from the OP complaining about a balanced champion when other champions with high pick and win rates are rampant without changes.

Nasus might be mechanically easy to play but requires a lot of Macro management to play well and succeed.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo3 votes

absolutely and my point is he is still bottom tier even after the buffs...

i played him last night i dont normally play him my tree was banned out. enemy top laner picked garen... he was beating me up bad in lane then my mid came to gank and ended up getting me killed. i got shit on early but we came back and won game after we lost a nexus turret. some how no joke i turned the game around when i picked up a item 3116 cuz i was able to turn my E into an aoe slow to keep garen and hecrim at bay . i ended the game 5-5-19 after starting off going 0-3 and losing both top outer turrets

Ravenous Howls1 votes

I main Nasus so I always do pretty solid with him. the buffs but him back on the map as a strong pick but you are right that the changes did not alleviate any of his weaknesses and coordinated CC and peel keep him down easily.

Interesting on the Rylai's... LOL! I probably would not go for it personally as I go IBG but can't hurt to try something new in a pinch! ;)

Funny, I could say

"I don't main Nasus" No shit you think he's a problem. He's not your main lol. His recent buffs still expose him to his clear weaknesses, and the champion himself is easily manageable.

Better Jungler1 votes

"You think he's a problem, hes not your main"

If I had to pick a main, (at this moment) I'd say Nocturne or j4. Your logic would mean that I have problem with the other ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY SOMETHING CHAMPS, because they "aren't my main"

The argument goes only one way.

If you main a champion, you're more likely to overlook the parts of him that are overloaded/broken.

Look at the yasuo mains, when he was overloaded (before the countless nerfs) they defended everything that was broken with him against an onslaught of the MAJORITY of the boards. There were days when the boards were filled 60-70% with yasuo hate posts. Even with the majority (or vocal minority) on the boards voicing the same concerns, they defended him and called it balanced.

If you main a champ, you're going to try and defend them from nerfs.

Illiaoi is another example, when she came out people were furious because her ult was 1 v 5ing every game.. Soon as they found a counter to it (ccing her, or just walking out of the ult) she came back down to a balanced level, and the community hushed. Nasus doesnt have this "trick" to beat. You gank him early, poke him as much as possible, and at some point in time, he becomes strong enough to 1v1...1v2....1v3

to those saying "end the game early" is the trick.. If their team is playing defensively (because they know nasus will carry them late game) its very difficult to reliably end a game before he becomes strong enough, or split pushes you to inhibs.

rework trundle1 votes

The argument goes only one way.

I used to think Nasus was strong because he apparently can stack infinitely his Q (you know, the noobtrap catchphrase which got every Nasus player to play him at first, but isn't true because he ends most games with 400-600 stacks, pretty far from infinite).

Look at the yasuo mains

I won't quote it all, just this part so you know what I'm referring to. Many of them actually asked to nerf specific parts of his kit because they are dedicated and tired of seeing him permabanned

Nasus doesnt have this "trick" to beat

He actually does, your argument doesn't stand. If he didn't have a trick to beat, he would have a much higher winrate, close to 100% for those who dedicated hundreds of hours to play him. You can :

  • Deny him stacks (lane bullies)

  • Don't deny him stacks, if your team has enough CC (he has to be on top of you to get most of his damage)

  • Shove him hard, then roam (get other laners ahead, more gold and xp = easier to kill him)

  • Let him overextend, kill him in 1v3+ then engage on his team or get free objectives

  • Hard engage on his team (works for anyone who splitpushes) (works when you have hard AoE CC such as Ori, Malph, Sej, Kalista, etc)

I've already os Vaynes, likewise I've already been 1v1d by Vaynes who I couldn't even get to.

to those saying "end the game early" is the trick.. If their team is playing defensively (because they know nasus will carry them late game)

They rely too much on a juggernaut. Would you ever trust Darius to single-handedly win a teamfight at 40 mins? Nope.

He's not a problem, you just refuse to learn how to play around his weaknesses b/c it is easier to bitch, moan and whine like a mule for a hand out then to put in the work to learn the match up.

his weaknesses are gank him, push him, or hope he makes a mistake.

Its strange how I see you're arguing with others about this too on the boards. If you main him, and the only one defending him so adamantly, then you fall right into my earlier scenario. You main him, so you want to defend him from (well needed) nerfs.

LOOOL clicked on your name...

Look at your board history dude, there 6 other board posts you're replying to about how broken Nasus is. There is an obvious problem you're just too blinded to see it. As I go further down the list of your previous posts on other boards. Its the exact same thing as you said here, "Im a Nasus main, you're all bad."

Listen, my final statement to you. (Since you're not going to change your mind regardless of how many people tell you he's broken.)

Your "main" champion is broken, keep using him to climb until they nerf him back to a balanced level. You have a 65% win rate with him, and I'm willing to bet that you think its because you're good at him, When in reality, you're just another flavor of the month player taking advantage of whats strong.

Good luck when he gets nerfed, you'll need it.

Ravenous Howls1 votes

You forgot that his weaknesses are also CC/kiting, he's highly immobile, team fights, he has little to nothing to offer in a team fight vs coordinated teams and healing reduction kills a huge portion of his defensive power. EC is whopping 800 gold or Bramble Vest for 900.

Well needed nerfs would be corresponding with some shred of evidence or proof that isn't anecdotal or purely, opinionated, bias, drivel such as you and other can't seem to keep vomiting up.

I am replying to them b/c so many people are ignorant or just plain wrong. The data does not match your conjecture of "OP Nasus" If anything it just proves you are lazy freeloaders looking for a hand out for a champion you do not want to learn to play against.

I have a 53% win rate in Ranked and that was before the changes. You can see my match history I have been mostly inactive the last month. So keep making bullshit up but you are accustom to doing so and I will not hold my breath over it.

You can go look at the post from Meddler as there is no changes coming out b/c in fact Nasus looks healthy. I am arguing based on fact with analytical data to prove my point. 49% win rate for plat or higher is what Riot balances around. Pick rate 5%. Sorry, son, the champion is balanced and you can go hate cry into your pillow but the fact remains you have no credible argument or statistics to back your BS claim. Stop shit posting, man up, untwist your panties and play the game.

P.S. If I was a flavor of the month Nasus main then I would not have well over 200 games with him. Your ignorance betrays you. Look at your negative up votes if you want proof.

Ya, we're complaining about the dog with no gap close and no way of getting on to you, while MaoKai is chillin with a 55% win rate and murdering everyone.

I just bam him because he's stupid boring to lane against and annoying to deal with afterwards.

These boards are full of Nasus circlejerks so expect the Hate(daddy)

Better Jungler1 votes

I have to use bans on tryndamere or renekton because (once again) my top lane can never deal with them.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo5 votes

i dont think tryn , ren or nasus is really ban worthy as top laners

Better Jungler2 votes

trynd can split push and easily escape with his ult and ghost. renekton for some reason shits on every top laner (DONT FIGHT HIM WITH RED BAR)

Nasus, reasons above.

Who else deserves a ban top lane?

oSEXYPLATYPUSo2 votes

RivenMaokai Jayce Darius

top 4 ranked top laners patch 7.15 http://current.lolalytics.com/detailed/

if you look at pick rate, win rates, and ban rates they are top 4 overall

Better Jungler1 votes

I cant imagine banning any of those except darius maybe...

I havent seen a riven, or jayce carry a game in at least a full year. And maokai was only scary when his spawns did like 300 damage at level one lol.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo2 votes

look at the data these are the best top laners

Better Jungler1 votes

I believe they are strong, but not broken. Riven jayce are skill oriented. Maokai is a tank that has counterplay, but is very strong.

Darius is the only one I consider worthy of a ban from your list, because he can 1 v 5 a team if even one person drops the ball and stands in his q blade. That being said, if you kite him, and keep him cc'ed he wont have the opportunity to stack up and ult 5 people.

PimpStickNasus3 votes

Nasus is fine and just a lovely champion. The buffs maybe kinda have been a little too much but overall he's an ok champion

TheDesoIation1 votes

No you're just in low elo where people don't know how to kite and peel

TheDesoIation2 votes

also just because he has a high win rate after 40-50 minutes doesn't mean you autowin when you get to that mark, twitch is arguably the best late game adc and he has 56% win rate after 40 minutes but would you say he autowins every single game after 40 minutes?

Better Jungler1 votes

Im gold. Not necessarily "Low".

(not saying its high, but to say the top 25% of players (which is gold 5 and up) are low elo is kinda misleading.)

I'd say silver 3 or 4 and lower is "low elo" as its the bottom 50% of players.

TheDesoIation1 votes

You took 1 word from that and just replied to that missing the point entirely

Better Jungler1 votes

You're right. I was distracted by something else.

Nasus has infinite wither on a target, if he takes ghost (most common in my elo) you're not going to get away from him in a 1 v 1 situation. If you bring more than one, and he gets a Q off, he chunks them and heals off it. No one can argue with the fact he 1v2's and 1v3's pretty often.

TheDesoIation1 votes

But yeah that's becuase he's a bruiser same could be said about jax nobody can kill him 1v1 except maybe fiora he's designed to be a dueling/splitpushing champ and if everyone could beat nasus 1v1 he would be useless he wouldnt be able to split push

FiddlesOnTheRoof1 votes

He's insanely easy to kite and cc to death. No gap close, no mobility really hurts him. And if he died 13 times in 25 minutes, shame on you for not winning the game. That's on you.

Better Jungler1 votes

no gap close? at max rank, wither can slow to 95%, and can be permanently applied with 30% cdr which he surpasses in every build

This means in a 1 v 1 situation, you can not get away from him.

on top of this perma-slow of 95%, he takes ghost MOST of the time.

Im not sure what you mean by no gap close. You literally cant create a gap lol.

FiddlesOnTheRoof1 votes

If you get close enough for him to wither, you did it wrong. Also, he has more counterplay than almost any other champion, especially in the snowball meta where games are over at 23 minutes and he can't stack to raid boss mode. Play Riven, Garen, Teemo, Darius, FIora, Trundle and dumpster him. He won't even have 350 stacks before the game is over.

Better Jungler1 votes

"more counterplay than any other champion" "Dont get in range for wither" then you say to play melee champs. ... How does that make sense?

Dont get close enough for him to wither, but play these melee champs.

FiddlesOnTheRoof2 votes

I'll elaborate. As a squishy carry champion, like a mid laner or marksman, don't get into wither range. As a melee top laner, like Darius Illaoi Fiora Olaf Riven Pantheon , you can fight him for quite a while. Some of these champions beat him virtually all game, like Illaoi who can duel him all the way up to 6 items easily. Others, like Pantheon, beat him for 20 minutes or more, at which point, the majority of games are over. I'm not saying Nasus isn't a solid pick. I'm saying he's much easier to play against than you're making it seem.

Better Jungler1 votes

Makes much more sense. thanks.

Agreed, a fiora olaf or darius that pop off early game and get a few kills can hold their own, and probably win against nasus in the end, if played correctly. Ive seen a lot of people say games are over at 20 minutes, and while that is true sometimes. My average game (just went back to look) is about 32 minutes long. Longest was 53 minutes, shortest was 16 minutes. And thats with a 57% win rate. wins are usually quicker than the losses I notice

My point isnt that nasus is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with. Its that he's extremely difficult to deal with, and no matter how bad he does early game, if his team can turtle until late game, he can still come back to carry.

FiddlesOnTheRoof1 votes

I don't see him as being any different than Tryndamere or Jax. He's just the FotM split pusher. It's not the champion that is difficult to deal with. It's how we in low elo hand split pushing in general.

The problem is that outside of bruiser AD-casters (and Olaf), Nasus will most likely end up shitting on them after level 6. The Wither and 1-second Q combo is pretty stupid against anyone that's a mage or AA-based champion not named Yi or Olaf.

FiddlesOnTheRoof2 votes

That seems perfectly healthy to me. Pantheon shits on every champion pre-6. Vayne shits on every every champion after 3 items. I don't think Nasus scaling into countering a group of champions is bad. I guess it's just a philosophical difference.
