Make Kaleidoscope like Unsealed Spellbook

In the preseason Kleptomancy is getting replaced by Kaleidoscope which gives you a random keystone every once in a while but I was thinking why not make it like Unsealed Spellbook. Allow the user to choose which Keystone they want to use but don’t let them constantly use the same ones, force the user to a few other keystones before they can go back to the first one they used.

Note: I don’t think Grasp or Dark Harvest will be good with this new keystone because they require you to constantly use to become better where as Kaleidoscope prevents you from doing that.

I don't think this is wise, as it offers WAY too much versatility to champions, even if it is limited. This would end up being picked 100% on a lot of champions who could utilize certain keystones early game, then swap to others late game.

Yeah this can be used unlike the one in pbe. I Don't understand why riot does not do this. No champ makes use out of every rune but some like gnar can make use out of many of them and if you could choose the one you get it leads to some really fun things.

Its a trash keystone and wont be taken by anyone, Ezreal will prob go comet or electrocute or something, hes going to need massive buffs once the keystone is gone.

Ezreal doesn't really need buffs. He's plenty strong as it is.

Ye... He is only ADC with worst win ratio in game after Kalista

ya plenty strong is more like a walking sack of 300g for even supports.

Yet he is picked in Worlds, meaning that he is powerful pick since Pros only pick top tier champions. Win Rate alone isn't a conclusive stat considering how champs like Azir, Akali, Lee Sin and many others are OP even when their average Win Rate is at the bottom. Not saying Ez is OP, but he definitely is way stronger than you think.

it's because Ezreal is extremely safe due to his E, and pros like safety because it removes unpredictability

Ez is safe and he has strong poke, pros value safety over all other stuff thats why you dont see them play easy to kill champs that are predictable in what they do an which is why assassins arent really picked that much either or champs like yi and tryn. when you got a full team on coms and have a game plan in how they going to use their champs, then you see different things other than whats truely broken.

And safety is a strength. There are few champions who can perform well or at least decent consistently.

Also, champions with predictable patterns tend to be much weaker as you check higher rankings, unless those champs imply a high skill floor, in which case higher ranking players tend to have higher performance than those in lower elos.

Look, I'm not saying Ez is busted. But claiming he is weak is completely false considering his poke and safety. The only times where he was considered weak were when his poke was hit hard. Besides those times, he always had a decent presence in Pro Play and a huge Pick Rate in SoloQ (which automatically lowers his Win Rate by quite a lot).

You mean the champion that has been abusing every single introduced items & runes in the game up to the point where the same runes & items are forced to be either removed or reworked?

Good riddance.

-> stack hp -> stack damage -> huge movement speed -> on hit slow -> more damage

How can someone not use this?

Because its completely random which one you get and you cant stack it when you dont have it, it goes away after 1 use. your better off just taking another rune that you will always have.

Would be absolutely broken if they allowed you to pick what 1 u wanted.. Everybody would just take that one. and it eliminates the early lane / late scale fees u pay with ur keystones.

Lol, this is the dumbest idea I've ever heard.

Why wouldn't EVERYONE just take this rune then? LOL

I think they should just make certain conditions on the keystones you get. For example, you can't get guardian unless there is an ally within a small range and you can't get press the attack unless your champion has a certain attack speed threshold.

Forcing them to use every keystone before they can go back to their first choice is a good idea imo.

For example, if the player chose grasp at the beginning of the game, after its first use it can no longer be used until every other keystone was used.
