Why did you nerf Jinx's R by 200 damage and .4 AD ratio?

Shes not the best ADC rn, and you just made her MF status.

well if you use it as a skillshot, the nerf shouldn't actually impact the damage much. If you use it as a point-blank execute, yeah, that's when the nerf kicks in.

If you look carefully it's only the minimum damage hurt, if you use it for what it's intended to be (a long range execute for those you can't catch up to) then this nerf is irrelevant

you forgot AoE flying Garen ult with AD ratio

I imagined a Garen flying across the map screaming "JUUUUUUUSSTIIIIIIIIIICCCEE!"

Because riot got tired of the LCS using her rocket for blanket damage instead of executes.

And Boards will still complain about her because she is still going to be a powerful hypercarry.

Okay so seriously guys, Besides it being a really good spell, jinx as a champion is not even god tier right now. This nerf is super uncalled for.

She's good. Nobody can argue against that. I can't think of a champion that's better suited for the role of ADC. But the nerf doesnt hit anything but her ult, which was being used in ways riot didn't intend, and didnt fit her playstyle. If you want a clear riot response: heres one.

But she is. She's the strongest hypercarry in the game right now, and her ult is being abused. It's definitely called for.

She was nerfed in this particular way because Jinx could use her ultimate at point-blank range to decimate entire enemy teams. Her Rocket is meant to be a long-range execute nuke, not a get-out-of-jail-free card for when assassins/tanks/bruisers/etc. get in her face (which is supposed to be her weakness).

She'll still do the full amount of damage if she uses her ult from a distance equal to her E's range. This "nerf" is more of a love tap meant to reinforce her long-ranged gameplay and hopefully tone down her current "basically the best ADC" strength.

Did you read the full change description? It still scales up to the current max value. It is just a lot weaker if you try to use it at point blank.

  1. As soon as the Rocket leaves screen radius, it's back at full strength. It's only weak at point-blank range. At an point between Jinx and screen edge, it scales up in strength from that base damage to normal damage.

  2. It still has 25-35% guaranteed % of health damage. That's a massive nuke with or without the extra damage. Way more guaranteed damage than Ashe or Ezreal ults.

  3. It's the PBE. It's still getting tuned.

the actual guy that created her explained it well. go check on surrenderat20.net.

also, it was nerfed, but there was some buffs added to it. go read it.

"We like Jinx being strong for a variety of reasons but she may be TOO strong at the moment. Jinx’s snowballing and hyper-carry potential is intended to be strong and we like it where it is so this change is targeted at amping up her main weakness (gets wrekt if jumped on). IF THIS CHANGE GOES TOO FAR WE’LL FOLLOW UP ON IT. THE GOAL HERE IS A SLIGHT TONING DOWN OF JINX’S POWER."

Saved you the trip.

Make sure to actually read the whole thing next time. The nerf only affects shots that are in the air for less than 1 second. The idea is to nerf the rocket's effectiveness at point-blank range, but longer-range shots are unaffected.

Also, the % missing health execute damage is completely unchanged. Only the flat damage is nerfed.
