I tried Ziggs again today........

And I had to put him right back into "this champ sucks box". I know there are champs that, if you master them, can be really good like Azir, but my overall view on ziggs is, everything about him is unreliable.

Passive- only reliable damage but does very little damage Q- hard to land W- hard to land E- hard to land R- easier to land but can still miss.

I know his q becomes more reliable close up but it still sometimes miss even when it looks like it will land.

The w is actually funny as it knocks up ziggs, which is technically like ccing your own self. I mean, you're in the air for a longer time than your opponent and you can't cast spells or attack. And if it is not used right, you can knock yourself up into your enemy.

E takes forever to set and I'm lucky if I get even 1 mine to hit my target.

R- can be devastating in team fight. It looks this is the reason rest of his kit is so unreliable. Overall tho it just does not seem to be worth it.

Idk...I think he needs to be looked at.

You can cast spells during W

What Ziggs lacks in reliability he makes up for in siege potential and zone control. His E especially is of great help here; the minefield lasts for an obscene amount of time, and you can close off choke-points very easily with it. The Q is often used as a forcing tool. Use it to control the enemy's position, and herd them into your minefield or ult. They're going to take damage from something, so they will be forced to choose what, and if they choose unwisely it will often leave them open for follow-up harass from your passive and more Qs. Keep in mind that the further you toss the bomb, the wider its bounces will be. Sometimes it's worth ensuring the damage by moving a bit closer and throwing it so that it doesn't just bounce harmlessly over the enemy's head.

Even if his damage on champions is somewhat unreliable, Ziggs has amazing waveclear, and can keep his opponent farming under turret for most of the lane phase. Lastly, the W is meant to be an escape tool, not used for damage. Save it until the enemies try to dive you, then plop it down so that it hits both you and the enemies at the same time. The cc is shorter on them, sure, but you get a lot of distance between you (and as previously mentioned, you can still cast spells during your W airtime).

Agreed. He's not going to be good again until they revert some old nerfs. 120 second cooldown at all ranks for his ult??? That's unheard of.

Q isnt the easiest to hit but it has no cd. W is escape /catch and you can use spells during e is ridiculous at zoning r does tons of damage

I LMAO at this. So as a ziggs main. No shit over 100 or so games with him got mastery with him in like a day. Q bounces and once you play him about three times you learn that where you click determines how far his q goes. It does great harass while csing. he needs a got dang blue buff so he can spam but this can be calmed by a item 3165 or a item 3174 . you need to save your w to either knock up a secure kill or escape a gank or poor position. Its all about timing and skill. honestly the w is great it can make a huge gap if you position right. Step 1 place w. Step 2 walk over w to the side you want to go. Step 3 press w again. then you are fine and your opponent is even father behind if he is right behind you. You poke with Q knock up with W. Slow with E to either escape, block a path when in jung. or throw behind enemy to net an easy kill. R is fine His passive does tons of damage with a lich bane or sheen. Seriously go try a passive short fuse with Q sheen proc. I think that you need to play him a little more because he has a wealth of CC and with the right items he is fantastic. the Q is his best ability and with item 3116 you can kite like crazy.
